Been to a few of the Roman sites in W.Sussex, place such as Marlipins and Booth but anyone recommend any of their favourite castles/churches/houses they particularly found interesting please?

You can have a chronological 'history weekend' around Arundel.

Bignor Roman Palace, Arundel Castle & Cathedral, then Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre.

With the added bonus of popping into Kim's Books and find some literature of a similar age.

Petworth....but you need a sunny day to really appreciate the grounds.

Bluebell Railway is always worth a visit and you can take in Sheffield Park gardens on the same trip.
