There is something not quite right here isn't there ? The very vagueness of the condition just invites speculation

Is this a John Piercy type stomach problem ?
a Darren Freeman type stomach problem ?
or even a Robert Codner type stomach condition ?

Let's hope it isn't anything serious and he is back and fit soon

It's not a stomach problem anymore, it's a "Pelvis injury"

pelvic injuries are often associated with posture and linked to leg/stomach/back problems. Seems they have found the root cause which is great news. I think we will have a fully fit and fresh centre forward back for early March - just when we will benefit from some new legs :albion2:

Clearly, the management thought he was close to full fitness prior to the Leeds game and hence brought him on as a substitute. It was pretty quickly obvious that he was struggling and as a result of this, he broke down again and has been out for some weeks.
1) Who was responsible for deciding that he was fit enough to play a part in the game ?
2) Is this pelvic injury new and was it suffered in the Leeds game ?
3) As two new strikers have been brought in - does this indicate that they expect Murray to be out for some time ?
It is obvious that the decision to play him against Leeds was totally wrong but at the moment we don't know whether it was mis-diagnosis, panic or sheer stupidity.

Murray will do well to make it back into the side, given the new players and the whole new Work For The Team style of play. IMHO the only position up for grabs for Murray might conceivably be Nicky Forster's, and only then to give Forster a breather. Looks a far more balanced team without Murray.
