The WORST thing about Murray is we're going to have this binfest about the Jock knob every summer until he retires.

He is potentially the greatest player of all time. Not a great yardstick to measure ability and success. :wozza:

Roddick.
Rafter.
Pioline.
Courier.
Washington.
Phillipoussis.
Lendl.
Nastase.

All Wimbledon runner-ups off the top of my head.

I've heard of 3 of those people.
I think Roddick and Rafter won Wimbledon anyway
Not sure about Phillipoussis.
But that's not the point.
Do you think in 50 years time, anyone will remember that Andy Murray came second in the US open?
I couldn't even remember today to be fair.
And i'm pretty sure "Kinky Gerbils" compared Murray and Federer earlier.

You have heard of 3 of those people? Just shows you are in no state to contribute to a thread about tennis.

Thanks to the few who contributed about the match:clap:

Can we just get behind the British player for 2 weeks and then you can go back to festering in your deep cauldrons of unresolved misery and tension. Murray has a lot in common with some of you on here, he is a miserable moaning bastard.

The most important link between us and him is that we have Britain on our passports, good enough reason to support him me thinks.

That's more like it

That's more like it

I have a variety of mood swings in my literature and have the ability to post positive and negative comments, which some people find incredibly hard to do.

Hopefully I can continue to please you with my positiveness but you can do something in return by posting on the next Murray thread that will hit the board on Thursday entitled "Murray v Gulbis".

I will do that for you :drink:
As long as you open it with something stupidly optimistic!
