Murray v Kendrick

I would imagine that the Scots would be getting behind Murray (as I imagine they did with Henman) to support him at Wimbledon rather than finding it hilarious that the English support him. However, if you are right then it is a bit of a pathetic attitude.

The only reason any English people are supporting Murray is to make up for the fact that we've had Henman to support at Wimbledon for the best part of the last decade, and now have nothing.

Murray is the 'substitute', because there is nobody English who is any good to support. If there was a decent Englishman in the tournament, nobody would give a toss about the jock.

Are you Scottish or what?
He's a moody, arrogant jock.
Therefore he is a prick.

He'll lose in the Semis to Del Potro or someone like that.
At least we all know he will bottle it like a true "Brit".

Didnt seem moody a moment ago?

I think you confuse moody with wanting to better himself.

Arrogant, yep sign of a winner. Most of the worlds best are a little bit.

So the ENGLISH football team the ENGLISH rugby team and the ENGLISH cricket team are better than the SCOTTISH teams.

what does that have to do with a British team/player?

Do you think Chris Hoy is a prick?

I admire Chris Hoy for what he has done, yes. He hasn't exactly gone around declaring his hatred for England and smashing up his bike though has he, so i have no reason to think he's a prick.
Those adverts he does are a bit shit though.
Murray is a very good player, not exceptional, but he is a good player. No better than Henman was at his age y'know.
Just a complete tosser.
If he doesn't win Wimbledon this year, he'll never win it.

I am bored of arguing with you so will stop after this post. Murray is not particularly moody and arrogant. When he first came on the scene he was a typical teenager and maybe a bit like that but now he seems a perfectly decent bloke who has matured. However, you keep up your bitterness and I will keep supporting him.

Out of interest, I assume seeing as you are so judgemental, I take it you were never moody or came across as arrogant as a teenager.

Neither has Murray. Try and find Youtube footage of the interview. 'Anyone who the English are playing' and look at the expression on his face. He meant it as a joke.

Is it not possible for people to like or dislike him on his own merits without bringing his nationality into the equation whatsoever?

Your saying Murray is a wanker because he breaks racquets, Something most top players do. So every top player is a wanker

You're going round in cirlces and making points that make no sense.
I think Murray is a wanker, alright?
I hope he doesn't win Wimbledon, because i do not like him.
Contributing factors are irrelevant. I just do not like him.

But why is he a wanker? you have not given a valid reason why?

You say because he smashes racquets he is a wanker? its a sign he wants to win

Federer is 4 years older than Murray.

14 Grand Slam wins
19 Grand Slam finals
20 consecutive Grand Slam Semi-Finals

He is potentially the greatest player of all time. Not a great yardstick to measure ability and success. :wozza:

No-one remembers a runner-up.

Roddick.
Rafter.
Pioline.
Courier.
Washington.
Phillipoussis.
Lendl.
Nastase.

All Wimbledon runner-ups off the top of my head.

Personally wanted James Blake to win, because after his story about wearing neck/back? brace as a child for up to 18 hours a day, and then breaking his neck not long ago he has done really well to get back to where he is. In interviews and matches he comes across as a really top bloke, and he is half english and says he loves it over here. Now i know he represents america, but i would rather he won it than Murray, anyway he lost in the first round anyway.:lolol:
