thats good news , just seen that Yardy is to play in new zealands 20/20 domestic shindig , perhaps to keep him warmed up as a injury replacement for the ashes ? ?
HHmm... this may be heresy, but I think he's a bit of a fading force... when we were last in Div 1 he was pretty poor (apart from one massive innings).
Second best overseas signing ever (after Mushtaq). Even if he is a fading force, he is still more of a force than most.
What about the pace bowling though. It's along time since a decent young fast bowler emerged out of Sussex.
I like the look of Hatchett, plus Amjad Khan has been signed. Think we should be okay for pace.
