Trillion can be seen by IT at your work whereas msn can't apparently, so if your slagging someone off use msn.

I use msn all the time. Too much time on my hands.

Thanks. I'll give it a go. Luckily I work for myself so I can crack down mercilessly if I catch myself slagging myself off....

Yeah I use Trillian which is an alternative frontend for Yahoo, AIM, MSN, ICQ and IRC. Pretty handy tool which mean you dont need 5 different apps running to communicate to people on different networks.

I don't believe network admins can see what you send on trillian but not what you send on msn, I would have thought they both worked in the same way...

I used to have ICQ (in fact my ICQ number is still hanging around somewhere) but prefer Messenger.

My son and daughter also have it and we have some good 3 way conversations.
Having said that we also had some good conversations with an Uncle in Whyalla on ICQ.
Better than phone bills anyway :)

Other way around :) At least at this stage.

Back in the day, Trillian logged into MSN on Protocol 8 and MSN 4/5/6 used Protocol 9. 8 is not encrypted, 9 is.

Now Trillian uses either 9 or 10 because 8 is turned off. MSN is now the less secure one.

Trillian also has the advantage of also supporting AIM, Y!, ICQ and IRC.

duffycian@hotmail.com here but don't expect me to be too much until I've figured out how to get BeMSN to work with Protocol 9 (its a P8 client)
