For as long as I've been going away, two decades or so, the away fans have ripped into bad performances. Must have been bad if it was worse than that last night

And that'll be the same for fans of every team going, I'm sure.

We're really no worse than any other set of fans in any respect, in fact I suspect fans of other teams would be far more entitled than we are.

We were J 191 & 192 - also on the left side / right side cusp (we = Bozza and I)

No, but Papa Lazarou and I had to make the same left/right judgement.

I was in J191, so our Mr Angry was in about L190, as I think he was two rows behind me (might have been three) and just over my right shoulder.

Ooh, I was K196, wish I'd known you were close and I could have spied surreptitiously ;) Can't say I heard Mr Angry during the game, but there was a very noticeable 'F*ck Off Potter' as he came over to applaud the fans at the end.

I was K188 and in front of one of the Webster abusers. I actually arrived after KO and bought a veggie hotdog that I ate in some free seats in the front row before finding my seat as Bournemouth scored.

The people to my left left and didn't return second half, as I guess they had had enough. I turned around and said Webster was doing what he has been told to do, as long as Potter is here (possible 6 years) get used to it. I said I was a big Hughton fan but this is the way Bloom wants it, so get used to it. That he should read Potters programme notes from Sheffield United.

I then felt bad as the team were playing so poor in the second half and I apologised to him for having a pop saying I was just pissed off myself at the game. He was okay and said he liked the way Potter played but felt the players should be able to do their own things at time, saying Liverpool and Man City would never be so rigged as to not clear there lines sometimes. He said our goal v Villa came by clearing the ball up field.

It's an odd one as its what Bloom wants and the fans seem to enjoy it when it works. I am onboard but understand we are trapped in this by Bloom and what he wants.

Some real pricks there last night.

I know it's not the done thing but, considering the run Bournemouth have been on I thought their fans, on all sides of the ground backed them well from the off.

Oh absolutely. When they really had their backs to the wall the Bournemouth fans started their drum banging and started singing Barmy Army and built it up and it kinda dragged the Burnemouth players up the pitch and onto us, and then they scored two goals. Not often I've seen home support gee a struggling team up like that.

We were P 180. People behind us were mainly trying to get the singing going. Successfully until the first goal. One individual started on the team almost straight away- plenty of choice swearing and having a go at various players. I guess people have a right to moan but surely not that early on. Best bit of evening was venturing into Boscombe for something to eat pre kick off and realising where I live isn’t that bad after all! Worst apart from result was the three hour drive which on return was just one and three quarters.

I reckon that makes you the chap I heard tell someone else he'd be in Australia over Christmas.

All this shouting, effing and jeffing at the players, all because we are not doing well at the moment.
Pales into insignificance, compared to the Albions near extinction at Hereford a while ago.
FFS grow up

Selective memory from me then. I do remember when they equalised the noise was tremendous. Having said that when we saved a point at the end - thank you Ryan, Dunk and Knockaert - I thought our fans were pretty noisy as well.

By the way, have they found Trevor yet? :D

Oh yes, Trevor [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

My over-riding memory from that day is still the goal though. Best one I’ve seen us score perhaps.

Tough crowd , 21 shots 8 on target, seems a bit of a lame excuse to vent spleens, could understand it if it was like one of last seasons 5 shots 1 on target stats (which there were plenty), just because we beat muff quite comfortably a few weeks ago a sense of over confidence played a part in the disappointment of the supporters.

There was a lot of angst about keepers in those days. I seem to remember a game against Orient in the early years of Withdean when whoever was in goal took loads of abuse.

Mark Walton, probably. Never was a favourite with the fans.

Indeed it was a thing of beauty. One of the best Premier League away performances too under Chris Hughton. I went to twelve away games that season and never saw a win. Bad fan me! I went to Bournemouth on Tuesday night and, again, we didn’t win. From now on I’m going to be a “homey boy”!

There was a very ‘Mr Angry’ outside the ground, having a very loud telephone conversation - possibly with messrs Bloom and Barber - shouting that “He’s had it with ‘Harry’, and if we don’t get an Allardyce or a Pulis in quick then we’re f*cked”.

:ffsparr:
