Whispers tonight that the Labour splitters will move tomorrow. Chuka Umunna’s team are not denying he is about to quit (they did deny when asked last week).

BREAKING: Blairite MPs on verge of announcing possible intention to almost be ready to make potential split from Labour Party at some yet-to-be-announced point in near future. Probably. More soon ...

Sounds good to me.
If they get it right they will walk a general election.
The country is crying out for a new, central, fair but strong government.
We can live in hope.

Cohesive, divided, agreeable or squabbling; whatever guise the labour party morphs into it still hasn't got a hope in hell. Bless 'em.

Mildly inaccurate as a non Labour / Conservative / Lib Dem voter.

I seemly to recall Labour completely shatting over the Tories under Tony Blair. Politics is quite cyclic. In the 80s who would imagined that the Tories would have been in the wilderness for years ?

It does seem odd that the party of government fit us into this Brexit mess is hopelessly divided on it. That the same party stands up for actual Nazis like Victor Orban and many of its MPs maintain closer links with far right (Nazi) parties across Europe.... And yet Labour is the party apparently splitting over approach to Brexit and anti-Semitism.
Weird.

Weird.

That just shows what an absolute car crash of a leader Jeremy Corbyn is. He seems to have had an unparalleled ability to pish people off from all over the political spectrum, while being in opposition. I can think of very few people who have ever come close to his level of destroying his own party while in opposition to a government who are doing a wholly inept job themselves.

It actually makes the mind boggle as to how he has managed to do it. It's as if a life spent as an anti-establishment figure doesn't sit well with being the leader of a mainstream party. Meh, who'd have thought?

So, we have a new independent splinter group in parliament. Hardly news at all.

Chuka Umunna, Luciana Berger, Gavin Shuker, Chris Leslie, Angela Smith and Mike Gapes.

The not-quite magnificent six.
