I know I know, we have been here a million times before and I suspect every new manager asks for it to be moved and gets the same answer, but surely there is a way to do it.

With the European games coming up and the likely vociferous away support that those teams will bring, but on a reduced allocation of 1,500 ish, we really need to push them as far into the corner as possible, ideally out to Bennetts Field car park!

There is no way in the world that we won't be stuck in some far off corner of all of their stadiums with much reduced opportunity to impact the game than their fans.

It is the one thing that could really do with changing and I agree SW for the reasons you said. I expect the biggest issue is the concourse/shutters one, but given where we are currently and going forward, I still really hope something could be done.

Yep totally this if possible. I'm a big proponent of not having away fans in the east to keep them off the TV. Don't want our home matches on TV being about the away team fans antics.

I guess it's the view v atmosphere thing. At Wolves we were in some of the best seats in the stadium. Yes, you have to shield your eyes if it's sunny, but the sightlines are really good. We were diagonally behind and six rows back from Mitoma's wonder goal. Our seats the previous season there were even better, almost half way line. It's very difficult to create an atmosphere there though, almost never have all 3000 singing the same song at the same time.

Compare that to us and those seats, like you say, are really poor for viewing but it's much easier to be loud in an 'end' and I think that's what the OP is on about.

What I do know is that Newcastle should be docked points every season until they move the away section from the birds nest / penthouse. It's against every rule going. How on earth do they blag it?

I guess the problem is STH's would have to move, not easy to do and I'm sure some would complain heavily about it. Additionally, those who don't sit near away fans might now find themselves right next to them, again not easy to manage.

But at Wolves it's a shallow terrace, not really a roof and very very difficult to make much noise. There is no where in the Premier League that gives right behind the goal. The closest are Forest. After that I'm struggling to think of a comparative team that doesn't put you in the corner or down the side and Forest is more in the corner than behind the goal.

Edit, I forgot Fulham by the way! and lets face it we love it, because we feel part of the game and help the team.

That was EXACTLY my point. Not sure why you've used 'but..'

Burnley you get one half of an end. Luton 75% of an end. Liverpool is literally 'Anfield Road end'

Personally I'm glad that the away team have decent seats. I want them to come down and have an enjoyable day on the south coast .... at least until the match starts any way

Joking aside, finding it odd so many’s mindset is there’s going to be violence home and away because it’s a European fixture because someone luzzed a patio chair 25years ago at an England friendly in Turin. Surely this is all bollocks? Where are the Somme-like Casualty lists in national newspapers following every game last season, that some on here would have you believe? Or did I miss? If lucky to get ticket I’m going to enjoy atmosphere, not get drunk, not be disrespectful, not congregate en masse in city centres draping my flag all over their monuments chanting we hate Palace etc. Just have a good time, not being a dickhead. Surely that’s not going to get me killed or bring me into any confrontation, like the vast vast vast majority of fans that attend European games?

Agree with this entirely. Don't be a dick, be sensible and enjoy the opportunity to visit some great cities.

I was sure the club put out some communication last season they were exploring moving some of the away end so that it consumed the SW corner and started behind the goal.
