Worthing
I have and it's probably the worst decision I've made in my life !!!!!

We moved from Hove to Worthing just before Christmas to a nice large detached 1920's house.....

but..................

What a mistake leaving Hove !!!. We have only been in Worthing now just a little over 2 months and I particularly hate it.
The house is lovely but it's a souless place. I've even said to the Mrs that we should aim to move back next year and just accept we are going to have to pay thousands in fees etc again and downsize slightly just to be happy again.

I'm sooooo depressed !!!!

Has anyone else experienced a similar move that was so not right ?

Worthing is dire!! Hove is much better... we're in Shoreham - cheap enough to have a big house, but close enough to Hove/Brighton to go there whenever we want....

You moved from Hove to Worthing if you murdered someone you could state you had a diminished responsibility

Apart from the fantastic sandy beaches when the tide's out there isnae a lot to recommend Worthing in my book. Local town for local people.

Although living in Hove you could have utilised the one in Brighton.

Wow! What direction does it face in the summer?

Is it a revolving garden? If so, surely you could just re-programme it?

on a pig farm
yup

when i left the marines i moved from decent married quartes in gosport over to a council flat in portsea. any (ex) pompey ratings on here will tell you what a complete hole that place is, got burgled twice, have stuff nicked from the car and had my motorbike robbed.

eventually bought a house in north end which was slightly better

but it was still portsmouth
never mind, back home now:)

Will be moving from one side of Gloucester to the other next month, bigger house, nicer area, half the journey time to work (reckon I will save myself a couple of hours a week if I add it all up), easy choice really. When it boils down to it the most important thing is that you are happy where you live, also that you can tolerate your neighbours and that your property/family are safe.

Moved from a 3 bed in Southampton to a 4 bed in Kent, hated every minute of it and lasted 10 months then scarpered back to smaller home in Southampton, after 1 weekend it was like we had never been away!

brighton and worthing
Everyone to there own, I prefer Worthing to Brighton I still own a house in Brighton but spend more time in gods waiting room,I just did not like some of the scumbags who seem to be attracted Brighton, and I did not want my kids growing up there.

When you have lived in Petworth, Chichester is great. We have a fantastic night club, live music in one pub, and pompey supporters walking around.

Looks like we are on the move soon!

I always thought that Worthing was bad for bowels, hence the old saying "Newhaven for the continent, Worthing for the incontinent".
