Why PM it? Put the answer on here - this question has already been raised on another thread, so it will certainly be a concern for more than just the OP on here.

Because I don’t want to be advertising anyone, we’ve had some clear instructions from the senior hierarchy around what we are and aren’t allowed to post on social media.

I am sure if you are an essential worker they will sort it out. Other than that does it really matter, you wont be using it!

Cars still have to have an MOT when parked on the road outside your house.

Unless you live in the middle of nowhere...walk! Its likely to be the only time outside you can have, use it.

And for those of us that are doing the shopping for elderly vulnerable parents who don't live within walking distance ?

Anyone know if I'm allowed to move house on friday, without some nosey sod sticking his nose in. My tenancy expires, so I can't stay where I am and I've paid the first month's rent in the new place, so I have to get myself from here to there, come what Theresa May. I had rented a van, but I'm not sure I'll be able to pick that up on the day now either.

This is the only place I can find it, which seems odd:

If it is possible to pause a house move, people should stay in their home.

I would think in your case it isn't possible?

Thats hardly practical when we're being advised to shop as infrequently as possible, ie getting a weeks worth of shopping in. How the hell do you envisage lugging all that back a few miles from Tesco ? Not to mention if you're also getting stuff in for elderly relatives.

I mean christ.

Bags and hands. You can easily fit a weeks worth of shopping in a rucksack, I have been doing it my whole life. Transporting to the venerable is a decent point though. Though it seems like the government should have put something in place for it.

You've clearly not ever had to feed a family of 5 including three teenagers.

I can confirm that we are open for the foreseeable future. I work for a main dealer and whilst the sales showrooms are closed the service and parts departments are open and we are still receiving calls for people wishing to book their vehicles in for work.

As long as the amount of food required grows linearly with the number of people you are fine?

What on earth are you on about ? How am I meant to carry a weeks food ( and household stuff ) for 5 effectively adults back for a couple of miles ?

Why are you carrying it on your own!?

 You missed the announcement from the government yesterday about everyone's exposure to others should be reduced to an absolute minimum clearly. And yet here you are, suggesting that I take all three of my children and my partner to the supermarket and expose all five of us to the risk rather than just drive myself and only expose myself to the risk and also lessen the number of people in the supermarket by four ( thus lowering the risk to other shoppers ) ? Brains of Britain you are not !
