Worthing
That Who gig was the loudest ever concert i believe.

Yes I think it was in the Guiness Book of Records as the loudest outside concert. I heard their encore from Greenwich Hospital...long story. It was bloody hot that day as well, poeple fainting all over the Place

Think the 79 Knebworth Zep concert was at one stage the biggest ever outside concert 250,000 ? and I can tell you that was bloody loud as well, the ground shook when they did Kashmir, still the loudest thing and probably the best song I have ever seen live.

Pink Floyd at the Marlowe Theatre Canterbury circa 1968. My 1st ever gig and given the type of music being played at that time, the most memorable. Saucerful of Secrets was their new album at the time, real eye opener to the music I came to love.

I'm always sceptical of these threads, as it depends on mood, venue, band, etc. etc.

But for what it's worth - john butler trio in toulouse, 2004ish

What!!
without the original lead singer?

Brighton Centre, '79 ish was pretty good apart from the really rough strippers they brought on for Nice'n'Sleazy

Led Zep Knebworth 79 too. My first ever proper gig aged 16 and one week and still up there as one of the best. On the other end of the scale Geno Washington at Llanidloes Community Centre 81.

can't remember the exact dates but, Thin Lizzie at the Centre , 2 gigs in the late 70's or early 80's .... awsome performance both times. Which may have something to do with Live and Dangerous being voted top live album ever.

Arrives in A cadilac, drives around the stage, gets out, adjusts cuff, looks cool as f***
"Snare drum pounds on the 2 and 4"
and we're in to 'Erotic city'
