ME!!!! :bigwave:

I bet Gina will forget that I'm going and then accuse me of ignoring her when I don't see her for a couple of days.

Thomas Cook have run one day trips for all games so far, including the trip to Moscow and Israel earlier in the year. Cost obviously varies depending upon flight costs but roughly £200-350 is a fair guide.

Moscow is an absolute shithole. Went there with work recently and I HATED the place.

Seeing Lenin's morseleum (sic?) is almost worth the airfare alone.

Hmmm, me and my son are there for three days! Got to see Lenin though!!

If you part with 30 notes you can skip the queue and get an English speaking guide to take you around.

Be prepared to be ripped off everywhere you go. Take the Metro as much as possible and avoid cabs at all costs!

I am going out on the Tuesday with TMG and return in the early hours of Thursday morning. Cost was around £440 including VISA. Riegate is right about Vienna. Thomas Cook are the offical travel partner of the FA and the cost is £199 for the day trip.

Going out Monday and back Friday via Brussels

Cost for two of us are
Eurostar £100
Flights £400 (Brussels to Moscow direct with Aeroflot)
Appartment £420 for 4 nights in the Arbat district
Visa £170 (paid all the extra bits upfront rather than paying anything in Moscow)

Not a cheap trip this one, hence going with "Surreyseagulls" on day trip for Vienna (also I want to be back for Leyton Orient the next day and as its a 12.30 kick off a right pain if you wanted to fly back Saturday morning!)

My sister went to Moscow a few years ago and said it is one of the most fasinating places she has been to. I cant wait for this trip. When the draw was made Israel and Russia stood out as potentially great trips. Israel was fantastic, so lets hope Russia lives up to expectations!

They explain all the history behind it and they also show you around the other graves at the back of morseleum, such as Stalins and Yuri Gagarin's. It's very interesting and it might score your son some brownie points in history lessons. Definitely worth 30 squids IMHO
