Just a heads up if anyone has a mortgage rate expiring in 2025 it is a good idea to get an idea of what your new rate will look like 6-9 months before your present rate ends

The cost of borrowing is going up which affects mortgage rates, not the bank of england base rate, unless you have a tracker or variable rate

It would be a good idea to apply now as the trend of fixed rates has been going up after the budget

Please PM me for advice and my contact details

I regularly check my latest mortgage offers just to stay in the loop for when the time comes next year.

I renewed April last year with a 2 year (and three month) fix. The best rate I could get now is just 0.2% better than what I got back then.

I honestly thought mortgage rates would have come crashing back down by now.

They were coming down and then the budget happened

A major lender is increasing all their fixed rates by 0.59% tomorrow, Wow

Mine's at the end of March. Tempted by a BEBR + 0.14% tracker for 2 years.
Get in quick as they may increase the margins, ie increase to 0.5% above bbr for example. PM me if you need any help

Thank you. I've bagged that one and will keep an eye on what happens in the next 2.5 months before it starts.
Happy to keep an eye on things for you

Genuinely couldn’t recommend U.S enough! He helped me through a very difficult and stressful situation over the last 6 months and it’s because of him that I’m out the other side! I couldn’t have done it without his advice and patience so once again G, thank you 🙏
