We will do if it takes that long. Ravensbourne - aren't they building a new campus on the Greenwich peninsula?

SE18's ok, lots of lovely green space, but it's definitely one of the poorer parts of Greenwich borough, so there are scuzzier parts with high crime rates.

We can walk to about six different parks within 15 minutes of our house, great for the kids, and generally, the house prices are VG. You can buy a 3-bed house with views over London for only £250,000.

They may well be, but the chance of us being able to afford rent in Greenwich is low! That said, if he is based there it means it gives more options re: train lines we can be on, Ravensbourne's other campus is at Elmstead Woods so that is either Hither Green or Lewisham!

There's more to do in, say, Lewisham, Greewich, Blackheath etc than in Plumstead, where i am - in terms of cafes, pubs and bars etc - but prices are higher, too. But wherever you end up will be nice. I don't know Elmstead Woods, tbh, never really ventured that far out!

If you need any advice nearer the time, drop me a line

This is all about as provisional as a Falmer application:)lolol:) at present, it is assuming my friend gets into Ravensbourne and then moves to London where I also end up staying, again dependent on getting a job, in London.

But despite that, it is nice to get a rough idea before things start to develop so thanks again and I'll let you know.

My Boss lives at Hither Green rates the area and has lived there for years.
