Used to it now aren't we? This is almost the new normal.

I should have asked Mick Whelan if he'd allow my girlfriend and I to go to the Loreena McKennitt concert at The London Palladium on April 8. I was also stupid enough to book overnight accommodation in the vicinity, without asking him to sanction it. Perhaps he'll reimburse me the few hundred quid that this is costing me.

What the f*** are this mob trying to achieve? They’ve got absolutely nowhere with the train companies or the government, who presumably don’t give a shit. Oh, so let’s totally piss off the Great British Public by striking on a Saturday when families and friends want to enjoy a day out for a social occasion. So ASLEF what exactly is that going to achieve? You, by disrupting people who have absolutely no say in your dispute are the ones that will suffer the most. As far as I am concerned your poxy disputes have caused me no end of grief in trying to get from A to B when you carry out your ‘industrial action’. May you all boil in your own piss!

Rest days. Days to rest not work.
in other words, an overtime ban.

I was just thinking I haven’t heard of any train strikes recently, sorry for cursing it 😂

Message your MP you if you don’t like it, get them to complain up the chain of command.

Full service running on those days to the amex, no need to worry. I knew you'd cause an unnecessary amount of panic for no reason, like every single time theres been a strike/scheduled engineering work/wind stronger than usual/fog. You can always write how you want people to assault railways workers again.

I appreciate you're being helpful here, but can you please let these threads run to 5 or 6 pages before you chip in with good news.

Thanks.

Hotel rooms in Brighton are horrendously expensive that night if anyone wants to stay over in Brighton after the late kick off for the Arsenal game to avoid any train disruption on the way home.

Brighton marathon bookers have caused the availability of rooms to nosedive.

Ive never written about assaulting anyone. I was simply pre-warning fans that may be affected.

You said you don't understand why more railway staff aren't attacked or hated, lets not rewrite the past. And often talk of your hatred towards railway staff, about how they are worse than traffic wardens etc. I was brought up to treat people of all different walks of life with respect, I understand that strikes are annoying but its about time you showed some respect to people who do a job so you can get to the football instead of speaking about them like they are dirt on your shoe. Now we can move on.

i dont wish any1 be attacked but of course it angers ppl how you deal with that anger is another matter. If Ive said anything that anyone feels I am wishing an attack upon others I offer my most sincere apologises as that has not been the case and remains so

When is the next big event in the City as its like you can guess the strike disruption based on affecting as many people as possible!

If they want a resolution to the dispute they need to announce an indefinite strike, not sure they’ve got the bottle to do that.
That wouldn’t happen because the railway companies are still getting government money to pay execs and dividends to shareholders regardless of any service or lack of it.
