What a load of tosh. Hamilton and Massa had the best cars last year and won most of the races. Jenson has had a shit car for ages, but if you know anything about F1 you'd have seen how well he did in his 1st season in a competitive Williams. he now has the best car and is pissing all over Barrichello.

I say this as an ardent Hamilton fan, you are talking bollocks about Jenson, the guy is a quality driver, jokers don't EVER get pole at Monaco. But if you knew f*** all about F1 I wouldn't have to be telling you this.

here here - button is being abused as a result of RACISM because he is not black

i also noted that button did not smash into a barrier - but i guess that was down to his car as well

Yes, he had a decent car, but the Ferrari was just as good (if not better) and the BMW's and Renault's were both more than capable of beating Lewis. That made it exciting.

This season is just a f***ing procession, with one car so far ahead of the others that it can afford to carry its inferior driver.

Clearly a Hamilton Ass licker, I think Hamilton is a brilliant driver but you have to give Button credit for the way he has driven the car, because at the end of the day you need to keep the car on the track.
Totally agree with you Icy Gull especially the last paragraph im in the exact same position

I find the Brawn affair makes this season all the more interesting and the fact that Button is significantly outperforming his team mate race after race suggests that his driving ability does have something to do with it.

I like seeing Button AND Hamilton do well

I know Button was good in his early years, and obviously is nowhere near as bad as the Honda of the last few seasons made him out to be. All I'm saying is he's not in that top class level of drivers, but the Brawn car is SO good that he doesn't need to be. I think it's a great shame that one car is raping the others so strongly.

As for last season, well Lewis won 5 races and Massa 6, so that's 11 of the 18 between them. Kovalainen won, Alonso won twice, and Raikkonen the others. THAT is what I call proper competition with a number of drivers in fairly even cars battling it out. And it's why this country has been glued to F1 for the last two years. Noone will give a shit when Button wins the title because the unfair playing field will see him do it in comfort many races from the end.

I'm of the opinion that both Vettell and Raikonnen are capable of winning this race. Hamilton was my tip but he f***ed it up, that's life. Yes the Brawn was the best car by a distance, it probably still is but now only just. Over the next few races I reckon Red Bull, Ferrari and McClaren will close the gap. Don't write of Renault either. I don't think the championship is in the bag yet by any means and I'm loving every race this year, far more than in recent seasons as the cars are much closer than ever overall.

If you give anyone the car that is consistently fastest and most reliable they can win. This isn't good for F1. Due to the supremacy of Brawn the titles (both drivers and constructors) will be over, I predict, FIVE RACES from the end of the season. I can't believe the Brawn love-in continues. People can criticise McLaren/Ferrari shoot-outs all they like, but the facts are that they've produced two amazingly exciting, tense, and close seasons in the last two years. Ross Brawn, with his year head-start on everyone else and use of Honda's budget, has totally ruined this season and the interest of passing fans will be quickly evaporating.

I can't wait for next season when Brawn's money will run out and the true champions like Lewis (god), Ferrari (cheats), and Alonso (prick) will be back at the front.

Any car or driver that is from our islands is OK with me. Keeping the foreign monkeys in their place.
Haven't we just been through years of Ferrari doing that to F1.
I doubt if Brawn's money will run out, he's getting lots of win money plus Beardies extra finance.

Like others have said I also like the fact that there is a team other then the normally two winning races and setting the pace. Criticising Brawn for starting to prepare for this season last year is like criticising Ferguson for building a team for the future. There was / is nothing stopping any of the teams doing the same.

It would be basically over if the rule to do with most wins coming in next year was here now:nono:

This just proves that shit rule should not be implemented and we know why they are doing it because Massa would of won the title last year......Ferrari Arse lickers

on the contrary - you are the only person on this thread who seems to think that, and if that reflects public opinion, which it would seem to do if you read the monday papers after a race, then should button win the title the majority of the country will be delighted - only those who have their heads so far up hamiltons rectum that they can see the sun creeping down his windpipe are going to consider it shit

if its all about the car, how come Barrichello isnt doing as well? im not saying the car isnt massively important, but both the driver and car go together to make a success, with a good dose of the back room teams in the mix too. its certainly not as dull as the Schumacher+Ferrari days.

im going to lump on kimi for tomorrow - if he manages to avoid the bottle for tonight, then he could do jenson off the line and win the race from the front. knowing ferrari though, they are bound to cock it up somehow

What I think is great this season is that although Button is winning, the rest of the field has seen some great overtaking and a real mix of teams on the podium. Red Bull, Brawn and Toyota hve all been a suprise this season as much as Ferrari and McClaren being also rans. How can this not make for a great spectacle. If you only watch one driver and he's not anywhere near winning then, I accept, maybe it is a bit shit

Kers could make or break his race. He WILL be able to get off the line quicker than Button because of it..let's hope he can then make the corner

Seems Massa's early problem and Hamilton's could have been Kers related

I'm not ashamed to say that instead of all the Button-bandwagoners (funny none of you professed your love for Jenson last season, isn't it?!), I'm sticking with my support for the man I like, however low he finds himself this year.
