Can I widely speculate he might have tested positive for Covid making the medical a bit tricky. A possible reason for the delay?

Can I widely speculate that the paymasters at SkySports might be quite keen for clubs to save any deal announcements for today, so that they have something to hype up as part of their Deadline Day bullshit?

Liverpool signing some average defender from Preston to stick on the bench isn't going to keep Jim White in new silken ties, is it?

Can I widely speculate that the club will not announce the transfer until they’ve sorted his subsequent loan out?

Yep. To USG, so TB can solidify their promotion push for the rest of the season. Eleven points clear atm. Makes sense to be fair.

CAICEDO STILL ON COURSE FOR BRIGHTON

As expected, Brighton are on course to announce the signing of Moises Caicedo from Independiente Del Valle on Deadline Day.

The 19-year-old Ecuador international midfielder has been in quarantine following COVID-19 protocols.

Caicedo is expected to sign a five-year deal with the fee around £4.5m.

They parted the sea of Liverpool CB rumours for this news.

"On course to announce".

So, it's done - just the announcing to do.

Loaned out to Forest with immediate effect.

Hasn't the club already said he will not go out on loan because we want to assess him? Does that imply that he might get game time before the end of the season?

Presuming it happens anyway..........

I'm pretty sure the club haven't said anything regarding this potential transfer.
