Some anti Liverpool confirmation bias in action on this thread. Who could possibly have known? ???

Cant stand that club, I posted In here a while ago about Potter and Bissouma,

Always had a soft spot for Brighton, loved rhe football they play, gutted when Potter went there!
Potter who. IMHO with RDZ we have upgraded, better football and ability to score goals.

We have a new South American in January, who luis suarez thinks can be the next Messi.

Liverpool fan, and I come in peace!

Just hearing a few rogue Liverpool ITKS saying you guys are signing another Ecuadorian CM, with this I'm just curious if it's an addition or dealing with life after Moises.

Just looking for the opinion on Brightons side, I think it's pretty obvious Liverpool and others are keen, I imagine it'll take a pretty penny to get him and Brighton should be holding out for top.dollar by the sounds of it!

Another Q just what to expect from him should be come to the north?? Is he as good as people.say? Only seen him a limited amount of time!!

Cheers!!
f*** off

I think the fawning and hyperbole on here is getting towards TalkSPORT Jim Shite levels.

He's clearly a tremendous talent. But some people on this thread are already declaring him "our greatest ever midfield player" and "potentially the best midfielder IN THE WORLD"

Get a grip, eh chaps x

I'm not sue anyone's answered the question about us signing a midfielder being in addition to what we have or as a replacement so I'll have a go.

We sold Bissouma in the summer, we've got Moder out on a long term injury and Mwepu had to retire due to health reasons. With that in mind I'd assume we're looking for someone to supplement what we already have.

As for his ability, he has plenty with plenty more potential. If he's on a decent length contract you're going to have to pay a lot to get him. If you do come in for him can your fans please, please understand that we don't want to sell him and thus the price is dictated by that, not what your fans would like to pay. It's proven a difficult concept for Leeds, Man City and Chelsea so far.

For me, Bissouma is our greatest ever midfielder. From what I’ve seen of Caicedo, he could be better. Oh, and it’s not just people on this thread who rate him, stories like this in the media (£80m valuation) are not uncommon:

Without reading the whole thread, Mwepu's untimely retirement and Moder's ongoing injury mean there isn't a cat in hell's chance of Caicedo going to Liverpool, Chelsea or anywhere else in January.

Obviously more of a chance in the summer window but only for a huge fee and only if we recruit to replace.

This is spot on. The guy coming in is not similar BYW- more of an ACM than our beloved Moises

Wasn’t that Tevez who said that about the new lad? I thought RDZ made a blunder sub against Villa by not replacing Lallana with Gilmore and shuffling the midfield pack. Early days though.

Why? He's not Chelsea - and he hasn't said anything disrespectful or derogatory.

So is some patronising bellend allowed to start a thread on here every time one of the moneybags 6 (7 if you include Newcastle) allowed to come in here for the lowdown because some whopper on Twitter said he’s leaving us for them?

F*ck ‘em.

I very much doubt we’ll let him go in January. Possibly the end of the season for around £80m.
Potter will no doubt want him and say that he was the coach that initially developed him whereas in truth he probably didn’t play him as early as he should have.
This.
Bloom won't undermine De Zerbi by selling anyone in January.

Patronising bellends? No. Supporters of other clubs wanting to have a chat - what's your problem? I go on other teams forums to politely ask their opinions on how our loanees are doing, and I don't get bellends calling me out.

Might happen if I went on to shite forums full of morons like Waccoe, Holmsdale.net or the Shed End - but NSC is generally not like that, thank f***; and I hope it doesn't ever sink to their level.

I have no problem with supporters of other teams posting on here, which is why I’ve never complained about other teams fans posting on here. I have no problem with your or any of our other fans going and keeping tabs on our loan players. I post frequently on a multi-team forum, so it would be hypocritical of me to be against that.

But that’s not what this thread is, is it? It’s a Liverpool fan who has read a Twitter rumour that they’re signing Caicedo and has decided “well that’s it, he’s basically ours then. Better go get the lowdown.” It’s the exact kind of weird arrogance I’d expect from a Top 6 club plastic. It’s the slightly more sophisticated version of some 14 year old on Twitter posting “why would he stay at a small club like Brighton when he could come to us 🤣🤣🤣

He hasn’t signed for them. They haven’t even officially made a bid for him. They might never bid for him, and this dweeb is here plugging us for information so he can look like he’s some football oracle to his equally dweeby mates when Caicedo inevitably signs for them.

If we were very loosely linked to a Championship player and it turned out one of our fans had signed up to the Blackburn Rovers forum to ask them for details I’d think they’re a bellend too.

I personally don't. The OP has asked a question in a reasonable tone and warrants an answer as such.

NSC is good at that and it's rather ugly seeing coarse responses.

My view on Moises ? I think he is a quality player who still has a lot to learn. His future value to us in contract terms could be huge. At present I would say it is much lower than folk suggest. But I doubt Albion are looking to agree to any move. Certainly not in January.

I actually miss the days when our message board was regularly posted on by fans of Reading, Cardiff, Stoke and Brizzle as we battled promotion from the lower leagues. And Orient, although they never deigned to challenge us for promotion.

In the premier league the fans of other teams are conspicuous by their absence, even Palace don't seem to bother much these days. I kind of miss it.

As for this thread, my take home is that we're after another Ecuador midfielder. I didn't know that, so a valuable contribution I reckon. (secondary take home, this guy wants Caicedo and he won't get him, which makes me happy.)

[Oh, tertiary take-home, another Brighton fan thinks he'll cost as much as Bellingham. Now thats a stretch!]
