One for the newbies below 1000 posts. They can only post in their forum, but so can everyone else.

On top of that, can all of us 'superfans' with high post counts have a 'special' forum?

So next time you make some spectacular f*** up (which face it - wont be very long) and come back with a different user name like usual, you wont be able to post on the main board until you have 1000 posts?

Im up for that:thumbsup:

Just out of interest....how many different names do you have on here?

To be honest Adrie, I don't think a high post count is anything to be proud of. In fact, I am quite ashamed of mine. Even though it is encroaching uber-uber-uber geek level, I do work hard and have a social life.

Possibly the worst suggestion I have ever heard. Many many people have useful contributions and a post count does not have any link to that - in fact, it is probably quite the opposite! I don't think I would have racked up 11,000 posts by the age of 18. There was far too much fin to be had then.

Sod that for a game of soldiers, you would have people posting pages of drivel or even worse "." on threads just to bump their count up...errr, hang on, maybe some do!

Some of the better posters on here have lower counts, as someone above mentioned...feel the quality!

There should certainly be a numpty forum.

There would be more interest in lurking in with the muppets than with the "higher order thinkers" surely? Imagine all the mini-nazis we could get in their with the enlightened thinking and multiple accounts - all the LUFC fans who can barely type one handed - go on give us a barrel to shoot fish in!

Could even be a new sport - baiting the newbies?

What a crock of shit!

I might not have a huge amount of posts but i'd like to think I'm still a superfan, whatever a f***ing superfan is anyway?

Reasons why i think i'm a "superfan"

  • Iv'e been a Brighton fan for over 20 years.
  • I never slag my club off or it's players even if they aren't much chop.
  • I always remain positive about the team even when we lose.
  • I always try to read the club site, the Argus and NSC daily to keep up to date with the clubs goings on.
  • I often come home early from going out on the town to join the chat room to enjoy a bit of banter with my fellow albion fans and get an update on the game.
  • When i buy a team jersey it costs me a hell of a lot more compared to what it costs other people, but i don't mind that.
  • Whenever i'm around people discussing football i always try to promote the Albion as a great club to people who have never heard of them.

So i find it quite offensive that i'd be considered not worthy of being able to particiapte in something to do with my beloved club just because i'm not a "supergeek" and haven't got enough posts up to be admited to this exclusive club.

In fact i'm a worthy ambasador for this great club O/S, and i think that makes me a "superfan".

*rant over*

Adrie, shut up (please)

Is that the kind of thing the word ironic was invented for or do I still not understand it properly?. I'm off to listen to Alanis Morrisette to find out

No rool, IRONIC, is more like Adrie asking for a 'special' forum.

Fair play to him for fessing up, but in this PC world of ours, I don't think you're allowed to call them 'special' any more.

I think a much better idea would be to have a "Sin Bin". Anyone posting absolute drivel should be "sin binned" for 1 day or something! 1066gull would then be forced to get a life!
