Mobile phone unlocking

Does anyone know if i can get the http://www.virginmobile.com/vm/viewProduct.do?productId=0B51BE69-EF3B-4600-94D4-4F15CEA07868 phone unlocked to any network. want it on o2 so i can use my free texts!

Now usually i would laugh at you for this, but that was stupidly stupidly not an answer to my question in the slightest!

I went past a shop in Tooting that had a sign saying "all phones unlocked for just a £1"

As my learned colleague above has said if you find the right shop any phone can be unlocked.

As it's not a major brand phone you're gonna have more trouble getting it unlocked than you would a new Nokia or Samsung, but they'll get there in the end.

Mate of mine had some crummy T-mobile branded handset that he needed unlocking a while back. Nobody claimed to be able to do it but after asking around he found a little backstreet shop that did the job nicely.

You're much better off with a better handset though. Some of Virgin's branded handsets are shockingly poor
