why do people feel so angry about it?

it happened, yes it shouldn't have happened but things wont change again or go back to how they were.

MK Dons are an irrelevance. AFC Wimbledon will be a Football League club one day but even they are an irrelevance. Just move on. I really couldn't give two shits about the club, good luck to them if they get promoted though.

I wouldn't want to wish failure on any other team, otherwise they may do the same to us.

They represent the worst and most obvious example of a club not belonging to the fans and being a franchise. While I personally think boycotting MK won't bring them back to Merton, I would hate to see the same happen to another club.

Because a while ago I got to know a whole lot of Wimbledon fans who were left devastated when their club was stolen from them to facilitate a property deal.

I would feel equally upset and angry were Brighton and Hove Albion to be moved for the same reasons.

I still don't shop at Focus because of the Goldstone and I knew very few BHA fans at the time.

-the town of milton keynes doesn't deserve a league football team if they can't be bothered so start from the bottom

-they've effortlessly built a ground while we've had to fight for years for one

-the old wimbledon were a collection of FLAIR icons

I don't like all the MK bashing, I don't understand it to be honest. Wimbledon shared with Palace for donkeys years because they had no home, at some point, someone has to tell them football clubs need a home of their own. They couldn't provide one, MK could, and the FA allowed it. So, that's it. Debate and argue away as you wish, but a boycot? We need to think more helping our own club than worrying about whether you want to make the statement of ignoring them out of misplased "ethical" reasons.

Just because it's happened doesn't mean it should be forgotten about. If I committed a murder tomorrow should I get away with it if I'm not caught for 5 years?

Where's the relevance in comparing it with murder? It's compeltely different and it's that kind of argument which baffles me. A club moved from London to Milton Keynes, wow. Let's hate them forever and not want to pay them the £10 for the ticket, £3 for a burger and £3 for the programme. That will teach them.

Be annoyed if you wish, but I'll concentrate on something other than misplaced resentment for something that happened a long time ago.

I can think of another club that has gone a similar amount of time without a home - and at times it has looked like its local area couldn't provide one.

Guildford Seagulls, anyone?

Wimbledon were nothing like Brighton, we're not in an overcrowded market for one thing. We had a backer, for a second. We have catchment area, and that'll do for my reasons why I think your comparison has nothing to do with Brighton in the slightest.

They had more regular fans, and more success than us though.

My comparison with Brighton was a direct response to the reasons you gave for not hating MK. Your comment about markets and catchment areas is completely unrelated drivel. The club was from London. It was doing well.

I compared it to that as Wimbledon were killed off, we could have been killed off a long time ago as well. I hope we wouldn't have been forgotten about so easily.

I really despise MK (I don't think they should be referred to as 'The Dons'). It's an absolute disgrace to move a club with decades of history and have it re name/brand.

Did Brighton's name changed when our home ground was outside of Sussex?

The point is that real football fans can sympathise with other fans situation, a point that resonated with the support of fans from other clubs when we were in our hour of need.

In conclusion; you're ignorant.

What?! The club was from London, how many clubs do we need in London? Are we suprised one failed? They were relegated to the third tier when they moved to MK, were they not? They had a fan base, of course they did. Every club does, but it's not relevant to Brighton in any way because, as I said, we have a much larger catchment area, for one thing. Obviously, the fact we had people able and willing to bring us back to Brighton and get our stadium sorted out is a massive difference aswell... We were completely different from Wimbledon and I don't see the relevance in a comparison with them.

I fail to see how anyone who claims to be an Albion fan could make those comments about Wimbledon and stand by them.

All your comments about catchment areas and markets are not the point - Wimbledon were doing well - you are defiling football down to a business, just like the bastards who took Wimbledon to MK. There were plenty of fans with desires to move the club back - they just couldn't get hold of it. We were lucky Dick Knight did. And we very nearly didn't get a stadium sorted - indeed we haven't yet, in the true definition.

And at the end of the day, Wimbledon were filling Selhurst when they were in the Prem/Championship. I think you'll find, despite your talk of markets and catchment areas, that it is a good long while before the Albion are pulling those type of gates. And thats an irrelevancy anyway because the value of a football club is more than its value as a business.
