No idea.
No idea?
No idea.
Menenez, Ian Thomlinson, to name just two but there are many many more to read about.
Btw, it says disband not discard.
“What a photo”
Celebrating the huge turn out of people to the vigil. What did you think I meant?
Sussex police managed a protest/vigil pretty well this evening with 150 people.
One arrest, a man, and 8 penalty notices handed out.

The Met have a bad name for wading in, and making any situation worse. Cressida Dick needs sacking and the whole force needs to be reformed.
Photo taken by a female journalist who has tweeted she needs to be paid for it if it is used (media outlets). Blimey it's kicked off on twitter.
Apparently, Socialist Worker sellers and Assange supporters (and apparently there’s a big crossover with those two groups) had showed up at the vigil. Often the case with high profile events: other groups jump on the bandwagon. According to the person who took this picture, some vigil attenders told them they were not wanted but to no avail.

Why are people hijacking a Sarah Everard thread with their long standing disdain for the Met?
This is getting silly now. 44,000 officers police 8m people, they put up with daily shit, spitting and violence.
In an organisation that size there are undoubtedly thuggish officers, some rotten apples. One’s been charged and not faced his day in court yet, so let due process take place.
The Met has improved beyond recognition since its corrupt past (Stephen Lawrence, bribes) and racist past. No doubt there’s work to do, as there is in our society in general.
This is becoming an unhelpful, when THE overriding issue is sexual violence from some males.

They bottled it? Bollox! The people moaning about police brutality are moaning because they didn't bottle it - instead they waded in to a mob of covid spreading law breakers. There is some whataboutery going round about other gatherings the police didn't wade into. The fact is, the police should have waded into them too - so get tore into the Glasgow police, not the Met.You get that at every event, especially in London.
But I remember Fathers For Justice turning up at one of our Falmer protests under the banner of "Fathers For Justice For Falmer."
You've also had the very far right outside Parliament campaigning for Brexit.
When Mark Thomas (the comedian) organised his protests against the law against protests he had someone very "militant" and serious turn up to campaign against "bits in cheese".
It has nothing to do with the Police reaction to tonight. If they had engaged none of this would have happened, They bottled it.
Can people rent space on him with yet another acronym sticker?

Not sure her being female is relevant. If she was there in a professional capacity taking photos for her employer she is within her rights to ask to ask media outlets for a credit.

Wading into some peaceful women holding a vigil for a recently murdered local resident and throwing them into a back of a police van.
Good look.
You've clearly not up to speed with the lead up to this event. When I used to phrase "bottled it", I was referring the discussions before, not the events tonight.
Why you have to be so condescending on every thing I post I don't know why, but you come over a bit of a dick if honest.
The relevance of her being a women in this instance is some of the abuse SHE has received for being a women wishing to "profit" from this event and not for being a journalist. That is relevant for if it was a male I doubt those idiots abusing her wouldn't do the same to a man. I'm glad to say many are supporting her.

I got your female point the first time.
In the Bristol and Clapham vigils, some speakers turned on male hacks and photographers with “vultures” and “not your space”.
