Quite a funny read:lolol::lolol:

Just back from the wettest ever game. If we had jumped off brighton pier fully clothed it could not have been worse.

The game.

First half was a game of huff and puff by both side without any real impact being made. Martin had a couple of nice runs but they failed to produce a final ball or finish.

Grabben put in a good run to the by line pulled the ball back but no one was able to take advantage.

Brighton had their moments and hit a post early on and forced a few cornwers all of which were dealt with easily enough.

Just as we were going into first half injury time brighton scored.
0-0 would have been about right with niether team doing enough to take a first half advantage into the interval.

The first half came to a close and fair amount of the sold out away contingent were soaked enough and left.

You have to say the Withdean should not be hosting conference football let alone 3rd division games and the cheeky bastards were charging away fans £1 a pop for a plastic poncho with a brighton badge on it to keep you dry.

The second half Millwall came out all guns blazing.
They started like a team that were top of the table. Some good interplay saw Harris i think hit the angle of post and bar.

Now you'll have to forgive me as my mince's are not what they were and the 2 teams resembled a dwarf match you are so far from the pitch, and i have trouble telling harris from Kandol!

Not long after Millwall were right back in the game with a smart finish from Kandol.
There was now only going to be one winner.....that was until Mr Alan Wiley the usless **** intervened with the most diabolical penalty you are likely to see.

Forde saved the kick but most of our players were catching up on their sleep and a bum bandit followed up to score.

That changed the game completly. Brighton sensed something more from the game and started to attack more leaving Millwall to playing on the counter.

It wasn't long before it was 3-1 a neat passing move followed by aball inside and another bum badit ran through held off the challenge and made it 3-1.

I gave it another 10 minutes then f***ed off.
my coat, mt hat,my jumper, my polo shirt, my jeans, my boxer shorts, my socks my Timberlands are on the radiator drying as i write, never again will i set foot in that shit hole unless its 85 degrees or we need to win to go up or a play off game, the place should be torn down and burnt.

The first half we did not deserve to be behind, the referee changed the game, then we had no response.
We need to bounce back next league game.
We've hit a spell where we have not played well for 4 games BUT we still have taken 6 points from those games.
the cup will be a welcome break next week and hopefully a decent result might see us take that into the next league game.

actually I thought that was pretty accurate and the Millwall fan I chatted to after the game recited that almost word for word.

The away stand is a DISGRACE to be fair. Whoever came up with that idea needs a slap. Surely they could go between the pitch and the running track?

I particularly liked the qoute "the place should be torn down and burnt"!

What he doesn't realise is the place is prob's so wet - & thus rotten - by now, it wouldn't actually burn!!

Are you naturally stupid or is it just down to lots of practice. How in Gods name are you going to get a stand in the semi-circle behind the goal. It is after all an athletics stadium.

Not really that hard. There's a HUGE gap between the pitch and the track, an East stand style structure would fit no problem at all.

Fortunately, it doesn't bother me as I don't have to sit in it, but it really is DREADFUL that away fans have to put up with that sort of a view.

But how would you be able to watch the athletes?

The only thing he got wrong. but will excuse him as he was so far away, was the penalty, there was no disputing the decision it was clear right in front of me and like all of his decisons the ref waited to see if we gained an advantage before giving it.
