People don't go to a sporting event to be constantly exposed to political posturing do they ????

I don't know, but i don't suppose many people go to sporting events to hear racist chanting either...
It's also not political. It's certain elements of the right who are framing it like that.
Mostly it's just folk showing solidarity and saying 'we're over discrimination now, can something be done about it, please'?

Since when has racial equality been political posturing? ??? Generally, the only people who oppose anti-racist gestures are racists. If Taking A Knee offends them/ you or makes you feel awkward, then good. We want them/ you to be offended.

I'm not offended but I get annoyed is that ok?

Supporters (nearly all white) stood and clapped during the few seconds of knee-taking at Liverpool tonight. They've come a long way since one goon threw bananas at Barnes when he made his debut.

Give Millwall and Wet Sham another 30 years and, who knows.

Incidentally, can you imagine the state of their underarms and underpants?

It’s a hunch mate, I don’t think it’s doing a single thing, you can pretend it is all you like if it makes you feel better.

Oh it’s just a hunch now. I suppose equality is fine as it is right now is just a hunch too. I don’t need to pretend anything because I’m not stating I have the answers. I could dress hunches up as definitive answers I suppose.

Highjacked by whom? ??? Taking a Knee is a gesture that has been driven by the players and supported by the clubs and leagues. Players do it to highlight the fight for racial equality. It is explicitly not an endorsement of any specific political movement. But of course, you know that but you probably want to focus on those fringe views to seek to add a cloak of respectability to opposing a gesture of racial unity and, in doing so, you’re being wilfully obtuse and disingenuous.

A hunch :)
You couldn't make it up.

I have a hunch that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

My kind of hunch.

How precious are you, 5 secs on a knee before KO and it gets right up your nose. You are Chief Woke of these boards. :lolol:

Do you 'they' are all sent a tick box form for how they debate issues of gender race and politics?

It's identical noise, irrespective of what's being talked about the response follows exactly the same structure.

No not at all, of course I understand the original sentiments of BLM but sadly its been hijacked by trained Marxists /political extremists, and that for me is a no no, it's about time the FA put a stop to all this posturing

I'm sure you're aware that the Black Lives Matter badges were replaced this season with No Room For Racism.

Also, what is a trained Marxist? A sociology student?
