Midfields a joke

Dicker is pure class but it just doesnt work with him paired with crofts, crofts rarely gets forward ahead of him so all we have is a defense and then not far ahead two central midfielders, and then a mile up the pitch 2 strikers, leaving a huge gap inbetween, slade needs to find someone to fill that space or we stand little chance this season

Thornhill played in his proper position?

Again I was at a different match to an NSCer. I thought the midfield looked very good until the sending off and Bennet was put to RB. Continued to compete pretty well after that even though we ended up with only 2 in midfield. In fact I think we have potentially our best midfield for a few years.

Despite my previous post I actually agree with you. Both Crofts and Dicker do solid jobs for us, although I would like a bit more attacking intent. I have been slightly frustrated with Thornhill's lack of impact.

Kitchener, Canada
Davies, Dicker, Crofts, Bennett.

Compare that to Virgo, Savage, Thornton, Livermore this time last year.

I know what midfield I would rather have.

I lost count of the number of times the ball got picked up and there was no option but to go backwards or hoof it, it doesnt have to mean a change of personnel, but one of the pair needs to push up because right now they are both trying to hold, i believe thornhill deserves a start as CM

We were playing with 10 men and the outlet had been moved to RB ? Before that we were probably the more creative team imo.

And bennett will be there next game most likely so you suggest we just play hoof ball? bennett is a winger anyway and cant be seen as a reliable outlet, we dont need 2 holders

The only player who played hoof ball throughout was Elphick, didn't we play some good ball on the ground or did I just imagine it?

I think Dicker and Crofts work well together and they're only going to a form a better partnership as the season goes on.

I think Dicker and Croft complimented each other well roday and unless I am mistaken didnt Croft have a header saved in the first minutes, so must have got forward at some time in the game.

Good pairing Dicker and Croft - we have some very good options for the wing. With McNulty and Whing back supporting them, I still think we have a good side that is definately not going to hang around in the bottom half.

Thornhill was a disgrace, rarely made a decent pass when on the pitch
