Crap for cooking most things.
Great with balsamic and hot crispy bread though
Would this be cheap unhealthy bread or artisanal and expensive bread?

The most curious thing..
I find my cooking goes best with this.

Just been to Aldi.

One litre bottle of extra virgin olive oil that used to be £1.99 not so long ago, now... £5.99!!!

What are the best (and cheaper) alternatives?

A litre of olive oil for £1.99?? I'd hate to think what is actually in that, or which small farming family has been screwed to the wall to produce it...

Saw something recently that alluded to the fact
there’s not enough olive tree s to produce the amount of oil on the shelves ! And that a lot of it is mixed with other oils diluting the purity Would I be correct in saying genuine olive tends to solidify in the fridge Where as the other stuff stays fluid ?

Who puts olive oil in the fridge? And why?

Diesel waxes when it gets cold . . . Just saying.

It's definitely true that olive oil solidifies and others stay liquid (eg. rapeseed oil)

Think it was more that the ones that didn't solidify had additives preventing it happening Apparently a good starting point in identifying faux EVOO 🤷🏻‍♂️ but IDK for certain

Although the diesel comparison does make me wonder 😝

Only ever use it for dressings, never for cooking as it was a low smoke temp. Better to use light olive oil, cheaper too!!
