I'm still grateful for what he did during his first spell in charge of the Albion, and although I did not want him to return to the club and wanted him to be sacked for our failings this season, I still appreciate what he did first time round - that can never be forgotten - but neither can what he did this season. What's happened is down to him and I believe if he had never come back then we wouldn't be in this mess that we are in now.

He is a legend and was done in by bad assistants and the fact we wanted/needed success straight away. He had years to get us right first time, with no expectation. The entire club contributed to his failure this time, as manager he has to take the ultimate blame, but he's still a legend in my eyes and when Micky comes back for a third term (matter of time... ), I'll be happy. Providing we haven't removed a successful manager to get him in again...!

No expectation? He effectively had an open cheque book and a relatively large budget for the bottom league and was incredibly lucky that his bid to sign Pinamonte did not come off.

He is one dimensional and was not just 'done in by bad assistants'. They seemed to work fine for McGhee and Coppell in a division above. He was over reliant on signing players he had previously worked with (the best long since retired) and he made countless errors this season from start to finish. Wanted/needed success straight away? You can understand that after a decent finish the season before and a few tweaks needed here and there. Cue signing dozens of players with little or no marked improvement. He had plenty of money to play with this season, but squandered it.

The best performance was against Man City with players playing in their natural positions, only for Adams to change things the very next game. Walsall (9 men) epitomised his archaic and pig-headed approach to the game.

I dearly hope we do not see Adams for a third time.

Whilst I am thankful for his efforts in both his spells, he is not a legend in my eyes.

Done ok the 1st time here because he had a squad of players he could call on, Let himself down by walking away for bigger things though. 2nd time around proved to be a back stabber who got what he deserved.

There's been people around the Albion who deserve the Legend status but in my eye's Adams is'nt amongst them.

He took us from the basement division last time, jumped ship at the first opportunity, and sent us back to where we started the second time round.

He is still the basis for 2 promotions and a couple of seasons in the Championship, a legend was made, but rapidly undone, so I am on the fence. Grateful for what happened in the past, but fuming for the him making the wheels come off in the space of 6 months

He's a legend- mainly for being as bad the second time as he was good in his first spell

Neither - he got lucky (with Zamora) first time and unlucky (with injuries) second time. Also, his ability to spot a player is seriously in doubt.

First time he took over a shambolic fourth division team and turned us into a solid unit with an extremely talented striker.

Second time he took over a solid unit with two talented strikers and turned us into a shambolic fourth division team.

So he's about even. :wozza:

He is a SPOON.

Left us the first time round.

Screwed us the second time round.
Is the right answer.

I'm not hearing much moaning about designer managers now that he managed to spend a fortune f***ing up an almost certain promotion charge and sending us out of league one in the wrong direction. He is a twat.

Good for each other 1st time round, complete and unmitigated disaster 2nd time round and a big black mark against the once teflon Knight for letting him run this club into the ground for at least two months too long before he got rid. We still haven't had an admission of f*** up either, letting Adams buy players and then sacking him is f***ing incompetence in my book.

you cant overlook his first spell
even if he did cock up second time round
always be a albion legend:thumbsup:

You cant overlook his first spell and you cant overlook his second spell, for me his second spell has been far worse than his first spell was good. He won us league 2 and then left at first opportunity...is that legendry status? not for me it isnt. This time around hes turned a slightly above average league 1 team into relegation shit by signing far too many loans, playing rediculous tactics, playing players out of position, shoe horning Virgo in at all costs and failing to motivate or make changes in games when needed......legendry staus for that.....i think not.
Driving past the Brighton center this morning it says 'MICKEYS MAGIC SHOW' on the front which made me chuckle.....he certainly worked his magic this year by making us disappear out of league 1!!
