I suggest you skip to #74

It's a good video and shows him in the best light, as highlight videos tend to do.

But my opinion remains - he/the Union are demanding an unreasonable increase that they know they will not get. They will settle on a lower increase which will absolutely be deserved by the workers. And then prices will rise in future and jobs will be lost as a result of the increased cost of their workforce neccessitating job losses.

Ok…as I’m of limited intelligence could someone please explain the voting options in the context of the question :moo:

Me too! I have no idea. I think a 'player' is someone in the game, but why the opposite is a player 'hater' I have no idea. And I have no clue why these would be the two options. If the person who very kindly explained to me what a 'karen' is could help that would be great.

It really is not hard to come over as the good guy when you are trying to get 40k plus people a pay rise. What happens if following this we have teachers, fire service in fact all public services wanting more money when economy is on its knees.
We make sure none of those valuable people take a paycut relative to inflation.

We can fix the roof when the sun shines, not in the current storm.

Yet the Tories are keen to bribe pensioners with a 10% increase and are proposing to remove restrictions on remuneration for bankers!

And let's not forget that since austerity, most public sector workers have been effectively taking real term pay cuts anyway!!

Much of the reason why he looks impressive is the current media landscape is dominated by confrontation, shouting and petty point-scoring. He listens then provides a reasoned answer without accusing the other side of eating children or handing the country over to Vladimir Putin every few seconds. Plus when someone lies he has the balls to say so, something we miss too much these days.

Exactly. Too many TV presenters and inquisitors are looking for that 'Gotcha' moment that will make their name. Mick Lynch is too clever to be got(ten).

I don’t think it is a bribe though, just the reintroduction of the state pension triple lock agreement, so for a £10k pension an additional £1k. How many old folk can exist on this is totally beyond me.

What kind of interview was that from a 'Professional' like Piers Morgan? Who gives a toss what profile pic he uses. It looks like him, and it's funny. It's a plastic puppet of a fictional character who looks a bit like him, so what. How does that affect things? Does it make his points less valid? Does it offend anyone? Has it offended anyone?

Utter ballcocks. Piers Morgan is just trying to wind him up for sport, and it didn't work.

Piers Morgan is utter scum. Always has been, always will be.

Kay Burley has to be the worst interviewer I've ever seen.

Endlessly underprepared, seems like it's her first day on the job every time I see her, very easily flustered, never seems to understand the context or nuance of the subject in question.

Bizarre that she still has the job.

She is the absolute worst. A dreadful woman who is nasty as a default setting and is disinterested in every story she's any part of. She is the darling of the right wing fools who embarrasses herself every time she's talking to someone.

The 2900 redundancies are, in fact, fire and rehire. This is not just a pay dispute. The union vote was 89% in favour, so Lynch has a democratic mandate to bring the workers out on strike.

Blimey he has got a measure of what's going on and how the liars and charlatans have exploited the working class

Indeed, refreshing to see a Union leadership understand that the working class and membership can prosper outside the EU.

Well done Mick………hasta la Victoria siempere!

Nonsense, you don't know what you're talking about - I got a whopping 1.7% pay rise this year - on top of the 1% or so I got last year.

It’s funny, there was a nsc poster the other day who sung KB’s praises. How she’d relentlessly tackled the government during Covid.

I don’t know if she’s left or right, but she’s a shit stirrer and rude interviewer, to get viewer numbers up. Vacuous, she’d never get a job as a proper journalist.

The great man's cape slipping off on QT.

Good.

Whilst your man Johnson and his cronies are a different level of ****, Lynch is being shredded and a good thing too the daft dinosaur.

It took Thatcher working in opposite tandem with that **** Scargill to destroy a lot of industry in the 80’s. Lynch is giving the Tories everything they need the **** to **** our railways for decades.

He's on the panel for Question Time tonight.

The Tories are represented by Rachel Maclean.I

She of escaping the cost of living crisis by getting a better paid job fame.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=n_-mjk63_EM

I find it utterly depressing that someone like Rachel Maclean has even become an MP let alone in a position of some power. She like most of her colleagues is simply an actress, a puppet, reading from a script, not able to cope with anyone with a difference of opinion, reacting by pulling faces, playground mentality. With people like this making decisions for us this country is screwed.
