I took a wander around the pond yesterday and saw this gem on their noticeboard.

The light growing equipment is 10 feet off the turf facing downwards ie 100 ft below roof level, hence it's taken them 4 months to notice only after one of them flew over on their way back to LGW from their timeshare in Lanzarote. Pathetic

It must be very difficult to live in Falmer village with those gro-lights on.
I feel very sorry for them, as no amount of Liberty print fabric, heavily lined curtains could ever keep that glare out of their living rooms.
It must keep them awake all night worrying about what to get upset about next.
How I've ever slept at all with street lights beaming out all night in my road right outside my house, I'll never know.
To have these lights two hundred yards away behind a load of trees for a few months of the year must be horrific.

I drove to Falmer from Woodingdean one evening a couple of weeks ago and the whole stadium was lit up although there hadnt been a game that day - it looked great but seemed odd.

I do have sympathy for people who have lived in Falmer since before the widened A27 cut the village in two and turned it from a quiet little place into like living by the speedway. But that was 30years or more ago. Compared with the road and the universities the ground has minimal impact.

Re. the queueing traffic on the A27 - if it's so dangerous then why have there been no accidents then? And did having one of the UK's busiest A roads cutting your village completely in half not bother the residents before then, complete with the light pollution that and the University brings?

I have to agree its shocking in the rush hours Mon/Fri.
