Not a complaint, as after all these years we really don't have anything to complain about.

Popped in the club shop today & there was a bunch of foreign students in there asking about the shirt. There was also a lady who was asking as her she wanted one for her young un to wear on holiday.
I had a little look round at the gear on offer & I have to say there really is naff all in there.
Now I know there will be a shed-load of new clobber hitting the shelves before the big KO, including the new kit of course.
However, someone has missed a trick in not getting some decent gear in a bit earlier for all the passing trade you get this time of year in Brighton.

Just a thought that's all. God I must be bored!

A very good point, the shop is perfectly located to benefit from all the passing trade in the summer holidays, perfect for grabbing some "Brighton" branded gear on the way to the beach...trick missed, maybe!

I was in there today, picked up last seasons away shirt for my nipper for £9.99, a pair of shorts for me at £4.99, a couple of other bits and pieces, thought there was loads on offer for someone looking for a bargain but not necessarily needing the most up to date items.

Guess they are getting rid of as much old stock as possible hence empty shelves. Got a new book for Fathers Day however- Match Of My Life. 14 chapters- each one written by a different player from history.
Clothes wise- now that the Superdry bubble has burst there is a massive youth market to take advantage of.

The really bad days aside, I can't disagree with your comment. Lets not kid ourselves, as well as being our club its a business as well and I for one am not sure why we cannot have the latest kits in the shop at the start of summer for the reasons you mentioned. It's common practice that a lot of clubs wear their new kits for the last game of the previous season to generate this income. Bad business planning perhaps ? contract terms with Errea perhaps ? whenever I've been to the shop, I find it quite frankly embarrassing and should be looked at by the directors (Ken Brown perhaps) with immediate effect. Cant use the M/Boro and other clubs getting theirs in front of us. We're a Championship Club for heavens sake having just been promoted as Champions. The club are missing a massive opportunity here which doesn't present itself every day.

Anyone looking for the 'Match Of My Life' book, I got a brand new copy via Ebay for £4.10, yes, £4.10 I couldn't believe it! I bought it from Net-Treasure and they still have further copies available if you need it for your Albion book collection.

Hope this helps some fellow fans.

No point criticising, i was in there last week.

They are clearing out all the old stock in prep for the new move and the new shop.

There's going to be LOADS of new merchandise (including new kit) with the new badge on.

Good things come to those who wait, and all that...

I agree.

However it has been like this for a few weeks now, and I have heard the passing cockney day bin dippers making comments on how the shop looks.

Thanks Greens :(
I went in there today, and they said the new stock will be coming in in July. The first they will probably know of it is when a ginormous lorry pulls up outside containing several hundred boxes stamped 'BHA'

Agree with all of that BUT a release date of the 1st of June could have seen plenty more summer sales.

Well yes, it could have done.

But if people have to go into the brand spanking new Seagulls STORE at The Amex to buy the new kit, there's every possibility they'll buy a load of other stuff. And there will be 18,000 walking past it every matchday as well....

Not having a go young man, but 18,000 season ticket holders is very different from the hoards of tourists walking down from the station every weekday and weekend (allegedly 8 million a year) not to mention the locals far more than the captive audience at the Amex.
