I would have assumed Stevens will be brought in as Director of Football. Slade as manager and a.n.other as assistant.

Well as one who was in a small way involved with the removal of one autocratic owner, I am not enammered with this.

If the blooms are coming in with £xmillion where does that leave the notion that we are a "community club"

I suppose we have to find someone to fund the stadium...presumably if the blooms do that, they will have first call on money should it all go tits

Further to an earlier thread, i understand that a deal has been agreed today that will see Dick stand down as Chairman. Tony Bloom will be the new Chairman. I have no reason to disbelieve the source, and i am not given to rumour. I am surprised it is happening now, but as Bloom is paying for the Stadium he now and has done for months the power within the club. I expect large investment in players and changes throughout the club.

Good luck Dick, hope you remain on the board and committed vto the Albion.

Don't know any other detILS BUT AS I SAY BELIEVE THE SOURCE IT CAME FROM

I got told this on Saturday and again today. I reckon your right.

My concern is that if the Lizard Man has a run of bad luck, would the club finds itself up for sale pdq ?

We badly need the investment, but also some kind of guarantee of long term stability going forward.

The club's articles of association mean no one individual can fully control the club. I reckon it'll be ok.

Not saying he would but very easy to chance with agreement from majority (or 75% can't remember which) of shareholders

If this rumour is true then I suspect that one NSC user will have a very soggy gusset...

I would imagine there are rules and regulations regarding interests in football betting and being a director of a club.

Quite where that leaves the others who dabbled in it, I have no idea.

Perhaps someone could clarify.

ok, if (BIG IF) this goes ahead i imagine that knowone will take full contrl lets not forget Derek Chapman, Robert Comer, Dick Knight all own shares within the club. I reckon IF this goes ahead it will be nothing more than a reshuffle. Blooms (Tony and Darren) will just have more influence and be the new public face. THE MAIN ISSUE for the club is that this gets sorted one way or another because failure to do so could impact on squad strengthening etc also the power struggle seems like it has been going on for ages. Resolution is the key whether its Knight the Blooms or Daffy Duck.

Because you don't have that sort of money knocking around by just playing cards.

I'm sure the myth will carry on for years about the bloke who bought the club on the turn of a card.

Anyone know how much he sold his betting business for ?
