Brighton boss Mark McGhee is remaining philosophical about failing to bring in any new loan signings before the League's 24 November deadline.

A centre-back, left-back and striker were all on McGhee's shopping list.

He told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "We were trying hard to find some extra bodies before Paul McShane's injury, and we tried right up to the deadline.

"But Richard Carpenter and Adam Hinshelwood should both be back by Christmas, so I'm not too disturbed."

We can should attract any player we want to this football club with our superior facilities and the kingly wages we can offer.

MCGOO OUT.

I spoke to one of the management team yesterday who said they had 5 or 6 irons in the fire including Ian Pearce at Fulham but they were having difficulty as clubs are reluctant to let players go at the moment.

Litres has close contact with the club.

My problem is that I want this club to stay up and with its current squad that will be a hard feat.
