He's been given the £250,000 we received from Reading for Coppell. Should we go for Rehman? He's been crap the last few games because he hasn't been arsed...

No he should definately not go for Rehman. He has no intention of permanently leaving Fulham and has just been strolling around the park for us like some prima donna

Where did you get this info from? All I heard was that DK said Coppell hadn't spent his full allocation (which I took as meaning there may be a bit of money for loan signings)

Rehman would cost a lot more than £250k anyway.
And there is no way hes been given Coppells money to spend.

I think the best we can hope for is a couple of free transfers or loan signings.

If that is true it is great news, as for players, who did he bring to Millwall ? They are the most likely targets.

Dennis Wise.........perhaps not!

Got mixed feelings about new faces. On one hand it seemed to have found a few star performers (Victoria Wood, Showaddywaddy, Les Dennis, Lenny Henry, Jim Davidson, Roy Walker, and Marti Caine) on the other hand many of those are pretty cack.

I work with a close relation of Dick Knight. I get told a fair amount of stuff in confidence.

Yes you're quite right but I don't really mention much of what I'm told.

My Millwall supporting workmate suggests the first candidate will be a (Mark/Martin?) Lawerance, plays rightback - we certainly need someone there right now.

We've already got Watto and Hinsh for the rightbacks role and Peth can play there aswell. Striker and a midfielder are more of a priority.
As for the money, all I heard was that Coppell had not spend all of the playing budget so there is some left. Doubt it'll be the compensation money.
Still sounds ok to me though. All the right noises are coming out of the club at the moment (money to spend, promotion the aim, I want to see the contract through).

I'm happy

Mc Ghee has already said a striker is an immediate priority. I would also like to see a winger as we have not really replaced Brooker (although McGhee prefers 4-4-2) and a striker (which McGhee has said is his immediate priority).

Being G. Strachan's best man and having the ear of Alex Ferguson, his mentor, I would of thought he has some great contacts.

In Southampton reserves, how about Pahars, Telfer, Tessem?

Still annoyed we couldn't get Hunt at the start of the season. I also think Andy Roberts would also have been a useful player now in hindsight, he played all season for Millwall last year. I think a permanent centre midfielder preferably attacking and a strong target man have to be the priorities for Mcghee. I'm confident with his contacts he'll find the right players.

Good, good.

That said though, looking back at McGhee’s signings at Millwall, I would say some of them are rather indifferent.

Money for these loan players will again be the issue - will need to be a youngster coming from one of those clubs. Southampton are talkign up a coupleo f their young guys at the moment so maybe thats an opportunity.

I agree that we need a decent winger. I wonder whether Jake Robinson could operate in that role? I really would like to see him given an extended run out in the first team very soon. He is a hugely impressive player in my humble opinion and one that we can ill afford to let languish in the reserves or on the bench.
