McCleod needs a chance

None of your buisness
After watching McCleod get his first chance in 5 weeks on saturday it made me realise how much we need him on the left wing, yes he was crap upfront but he has something which no-one else has in the team, vision and a cross.
We can't get crosses into the box, we can't get our corners past the first man, we can't take free-kicks and we can't score from long-range.
Did anyone go to the Northampton game away in the JPT cup? what a goal by McCleod at least from 30 yards whilst running at goal, remember are last win at home? a last minute winner from a fantastic cross, who crossed it?
when Murray got a hat-trick earlier this season against Cheltebham (i think) Mcleod assited Murray superbly.

He looked bad on saturday only because of the position he was playing but i bet if he starts playing on a regular basis we would soon be scoring so many more goals. He the sort of player if we were losing could change a game just through his crossing, remeber how many goals zamora scored from crosses?

Carole and cox on the wings
Mcleod is to slow, does have brilliant crossing ability but i prefer two people who run at defenders plus Carole can cross a ball

playing mcCleod would be stupid when we have cox and carole. fair enough he has a quality left foot but is the most idle player i have ever seen. biggest waste of talent since leon knight!!!

We need the thing that was tried only once during Micky's reign; Seb Carole does the first hour, gets swapped for McLeod for the last thirty minutes. Led directly to a goal, last time. Fat Kev can't hack the fitness levels required for an hour, but can make his presence felt if coming off the bench for the latter part of a game. IMHO, like.

I think Carole is better off the bench when the game is stretched.

When he started against Peterborough, he was sussed by half time and then very ineffective.

Keep the game tight, don't go behind, and then introduce Carole.

I would even say start Cox and Birchall on the wings and then, with 20 to go, bring on Carole and McLeod.

McCleod has been a massive massive disapointment after all the pre season hype. Personally I'd be happy to get rid

His name is McLeod....

And he's had plenty of chances, but he looks fat, out of condition, lazy and not the type who wants to get stuck in. He's been a massive let down, and he's one of the signings that cost Micky his job.

Totally agree. It's unbelievable that he's still overweight. He needs to be more professional: get back in shape, work on your fitness and prove you care. Until that happens, I wouldn't play him.

Agree with both these posts - he needs to show that he is committed and not that he needs to be committed!

What makes you mad is the guy has talent but does not use it for what ever reason, could it be somthing to do with the size of his ego!

At the start of the season, he looked a quality addition to the squad. But then after that it went downhill. Against Barnet he got a awful knee injury and since then he hasn't been the same since. Yes I was Northampton for the Paint Pot and saw that 30 yarder. But IMO he is a shadow of the player we saw earlier on in the season, and why does he looked a little over weight!
