Q.P.R. fans and some others on another board I post on seem to think he made the most of the headbutt. Delayed reaction bla bla and that Mayo should be punished? What a load of rubbish!!

It was a definate head butt and an easy decision for the referee, but Mayo did go down easily. Clever boy I say.

A QPR mate of mine who had the advantage of watching on telly so saw more than I did, reckons Mayo should have gone for his challenge. I didn't see that, what about everyone else?

I didn't see the challenge, but of course QPR fans are going to say Mayo should have walked. Sour grapes from a very average team IMHO.

Apparantly there guy needed stitches after Mayo's challenge..

Thing is the reply shows it in slow and when you get nutted you don't go down straight away.

Having split my head open in the past (on a lamp post, not someone's head :dunce: ) I can understand why Kerry took a couple of seconds to go down. It's the reaction time before your knees give way at the sudden realisation of what has happened.

However long it took him to go down, the guy had to walk anyway, so those stupid QPR fans that applauded their muppet need to think about what he did for them last night.

Definitely made the most of it, big delayed reaction. I've just seen it again and chuckled to myself. However, Forbes deserved to go, pure stupidity. Thought the Ginger Prince was quality last night.

I thought Mayo deserved an Oscar, however he did draw blood. I think Mayo had two choices nut him back and get sent off as well or go down and watch just him get sent off.

Nice one Kerry!

I always find that a strange reaction, particularly when you've travelled away.

Trying to think if I've ever done it after a stupid-arse type red card, don't think I have. I tend to feel let down by players when they get the stupid red cards. If I feel they are unlucky (Oatway at Chesterfield a couple of seasons back) that's different. But react in that way and get sent-off, applaud him? Nah, he's let me down.

It was a bit high and deserved a yellow but no more than that it was 50 - 50 and even our favourite Kamara concurred.

Mayo's tackle caught the player just above the ankle. Mayo got a yellow card for that. A tackle which could happen at any time in any game.

Forbes reacted - no question and you need only have the intent to get a red card, as in Jones' sending off last week.

I don't think Mayo overacted. I think it was delayed reaction.

Wouldn't delayed reaction be the clutching your head part when you realise it hurts? That I could understand. But going down like the proverbial spuds must have been intentional after that delay.

I'm not disagreeing because the guy deserved a red and Kerry a yellow but I must have a bit of Cloughie in me (Oooh Matron!) because I don't like to see our players "cheating" - even if every other team does it.
