No but had the good news that they are supporting the Police at Twickenham on Sunday. Pencilled in for a 50 minutes slot from 7 to 7.50. Police on at 8.15 until 10.30.

Fiction Plane first band on - anyone know much about them?

Its what used to be the 'Zap' are you sure its open next week? Last I heard they were having a nightmare with planning permission because of the road that runs over it

Dunno. I just went on the Maximo site and they said they were playing there next week. And I quite fancy that.

I saw them on Sunday at Twickenham - very good
just a shame most of the crowd weren't interested and were more bothered about feeding their faces and getting the beers in b4 the Police came on

but The Police were firkin amazing :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

That's me you've just described :D

I was indeed enjoying a Gourmet Burger and a pint at that time.

The Police were who we went to see, and they were great - even though there wasn't much interaction between the band since they're still not really speaking to each other.

It is incredible, Sting's voice is every bit as good as it was when the early albums were released.

Another interesting aspect was seeing the pandemonium created by Frank Lampard when he arrived sitting not far from us. Alan Shearer and Jason Donovan were close by, almost totally ignored. No longer on the A-list, boys.

I thought Maximo Park were pretty good, also Fictionplane were not bad (only just found out the lead singer was Stings son!)

The Police were superb, great musicians and Stings voice is fantastic. It was a great gig all round, it was just the strange set up of seating on the pitch (which left loads and loads of empty space on the pitch) which effected the atmosphere.

We were sat in the middle tier of the West stand and the view and sound were excellent.
