Is he better than Crofts? I'm not sure.

He looked a class act against Swindon, but hasn't really convinced since?

Still, it's obviously far too early to judge a player - but I'm concerned.

Anyone else able to discuss this player's start to his Albion career, without calling me a cock?

Well cock, he certainly ain't been the same player since the sending off. He did not look to happy about being taken off again either.

Good player, cracking signing.

Crofts is doing very well in the Championship for Norwich, much better than i expected anyway.

Been out injured and missed games through suspension which must have affected him.

Hard game today as they were playing 3 in the middle of the park.

Plenty of time for the lad to come good.

On another note is'nt great that we have a strong enough squad to change the entire centre of midfield during a game?

He hasn't really done a lot since Swindon, doubt anyone will argue that. Was lucky not to get another red in the MK Dons game too.

Early days though isn't it.

(although having said that, if Gus drops Dicker for him again on current form I will go mental)

Not convinced so far, maybe he needs a run of games or some other cliche like that.

Dont like his trait of giving the ball away then blindly lunging into the next tackle.

More to come from him Im sure.

With Dicker, i just always think he has that quality to open up sides, and Sparrow is renowned for having that fitness ability to drive a team on late on in games. I would suggest Dicker plays in those games that the opposition are expected to put 10 men behind the ball, and Sparrow should definately play in those games that are wide open and the opposition comes at us.
Oh and im not saying its either/or by the way.

Cock. Your right, cock, because he's had a knock, cock to his confidence.

yoru still a cock

He'll get his form back, but yes, right now, he's not up to speed but if we can beat teams like brentford when we're not up to full speed or individual players aren't up to full speed than thats only a good thing :clap2:

He'll be fine, and while Dicker is in this form it's not such a big problem.

Why was he brought off? We needed him getting into more attacking positions, that is where he's at his best. But Kishishev was shocking tonight and was contributing to Brentford completely containing us, so Poyet brings off Sparrow? Didn't agree with that, poor decision in my opinion. He's not at his best at the moment, Sparrow, because he's playing too deep. We need to get him up the pitch, and then we'll see what he's good at.

Much better player than Crofts and gets involved alot more, in my opinion.

Wow for once you've made a very good point.

Sparrow had a great league debut with the Albion but he's been suspended and had injury troubles.

But now he's back from injury, perhaps too soon? Being substituted early on gave that hint, he'll be back to his form like he was at Swindon I'm sure of it.

As for the comparison of Crofts? Technically, he is better. But Crofts was our Captain Marvel and was playing such a significant role in his season at the Albion, so Sparrow needs to do something special to do that imho.
