Well done Matt, still think he should be in the one day team too. Englands lose is Sussex gain I guess.

Absolutely, and looking forward to him spanking Hampshire all over the show on Saturday!

Also, looking at the 12 players picked, not one Indian, very rare.

Been with Sussex since he was 12 and has got better every year, most improved England player and should be in England's limited overs teams too.

Can see Prior being used at no.6 in India, he really has been one of England's most reliable and consistent performers, although do we get the best out of him when he's generally got the tail to bat with?

He's my favourite sportsman of ALL TIME.

Hard working, always thinks about the team and ALWAYS praises those that have helped him to the top. He's got everything and he deserves all the praise he gets.

Delighted he has proved his doubters wrong. Definitely matured with the bat and has clearly worked tirelessly on his glovework.

His father-in-law used to play for the Albion, so he clearly has his head screwed on.

Good for Matty !

Surprised to see only the one Aussie in that line up, how times have changed

He's my favourite sportsman of ALL TIME.

Hard working, always thinks about the team and ALWAYS praises those that have helped him to the top. He's got everything and he deserves all the praise he gets.

I met him in The Montpelier a couple of years ago, just after England had got back from India. I didn't want to bother him as he was there with his wife and some friends, but he ended up standing next to me at the urinals. I told him - God knows why, as it's a bit embarrassing - that I saw his debut hundred for England at Lords, and I was quite drunk so I cried a little bit when he reached the milestone. Magic moments, and all that. He replied that he thought it was bizarre that people had that sort of reaction to him just doing his job. Which it is, I suppose. He bought me a Guinness and we chatted for about half an hour, before he politely excused himself and returned to his table.

In short, UTTER LEGEND.
