I think some people have lost all sense of reality during their online arguments with strangers about a unknown scenario :lolol:

Meanwhile, here's another question to chuck out there, would fans be as apoplectic with rage if was one of the regulars that got clattered, as opposed to a shiny new singing? A lot of the narrative seems to be around how it was only minutes into his debut, as if that makes it worse, somehow?

A bad tackle is a bad tackle, no?
yes I most certainly would. That wasn’t a bad tackle, a bad tackle is down to poor timing, that went beyond poor timing. That was so late you could measure it with a calendar.

It’s a disgraceful tackle, almost certainly deliberate, and there’s been zero contrition from the player himself. Only a ham fisted apology from the manager who sent him out there to put in some ‘reducers’. It’s also noteworthy since (thankfully) those kind of leg breaker challenges are quite rare these days, especially in the more rarefied confines of the PL where these types of clogger no longer survive. It has also put a player who cost a lot of money and was key to how FH wants to play out for (probably) a number of months, and possibly a very long time.

So we’re allowed to be p*ssed off, and to call out Williams as a talentless thug and the Crawley management as c***s for the 1980s game plan. The apologists can f*** off.
💯 this. Spot on, Sir.

I am consoling myself that karma is a bitch and that thug Jay Williams and his merry band of cloggers and their sad, sneering fans are gonna get bitten hard by it.

Might not be today, might not be tomorrow, but it is happening. And I will wait patiently for the moment.

Yes. If Pedro, Van Hecke, Dunk or Mitoma had been injured for 5 months due to someone deliberately trying to hurt them, then yes, people would still be really pissed off.

Because it wasn't just a bad tackle. We've had other people injured through bad tackles, but this stands out because Williams deliberately set out to hurt Matt.
Has that been confirmed somewhere regarding MOR?

(I'm not intentionally trying to be a dick, but you never know with information/disinformation these days.)

Mitoma was out for months following a nasty ‘tackle’ from a Sheff Utd player. I recall many ranting about that, too.
Mitoma’s injury wasn’t caused by that challenge. He was already carrying an injury going into the Sheffield United game.

Awful news, out for 9 months+ then. Gutting.

Pervis and Ferguson both had ankle surgery in April, both are back in contention to play, at least off the bench. So hopefully a similar time frame will see MOR available again around Xmas/New Year.

Can all the medics on NSC tell us how many months this could be. This thread has ranged from 2-9 months so far. So gutted.

I hate that Williams bloke.
