Has anybody considered there is reason Swansea didnt reach the play offs or automatic promotion?

Would that be losing 16 Prem players, and only adding 5?

Up for a few Championship players but fine line.

Not sure on this guy. Did ok in a team that finished mid table , not done anything before and is already 23.

McBurnie I could possibly make a bigger case for the risk , Same with Clarke

Hope the inexperience of Potter in the top flight wont show

It doesn't work like that. The best player in any team can still be very good - a low sum of the parts still allows for talented individuals and those with potential.

Yes. It was because they didn't get enough points.

No that was a result of relegation but the players they replaced them with were not good enough to do the job. Why should they be good enough for a Premier team already?

Nobody is suggesting that we sign the entire Swansea team, but I would say that every team upwards of about 17th has at least one player who is comfortably PL standard, some teams even more than that. Cherry-picking the best ones could serve us well

And Grimes was their player of the season, and the absolute heartbeat of that team- he was a revelation under Potter, and has always been highly rated.

If he was called Mathias Gremio Jnr III, and he'd scored a rabona on youtube in the Brazillian second division, well, then I'd be interested.

But only if he could qualify for a work permit thusly; squaring off against Wolf and Cobra from Gladiators (with those kind of giant ear buds they used to fight with) and, and winning.

Kosh says unlikely.

Good range of passing and good set piece deliveries. Named supporters player of the year. Worth a punt surely.

This entire article is based on "reports" . The old standby - where they file 500 words or so based on looking up some reporting in the local press.
In this case (probably) the Argus article from last night which was limited to say the least. "Some close followers of the Welsh club also suspect he could hand influential Matt Grimes a Premier League chance.". These rumours really do like feeding on scraps.

So you're saying the team wasn't greater than the sum of its parts? Potter out

By your ridiculous logic we should never have signed Shane Duffy who was part of the Yeovil team that got relegated from the Championship a few seasons ago.
