Welbeck's appearances over the last 3 seasons have been 27, 37 and 37 and, barring a hamstring injury for a month in November/December, he played a part in every match from Dec 17th until the end of the season
Always liked the Ox as a player and he has got a good attitude, if he is fit enough he'd be another good example for the younger kids. I wouldn't be against it.
And he'd join young Jack in being a current player who's dad also played for the Albion.

I really like the idea of us signing Mats Wieffer, so could people only post on this thread if they have a serious update/curious rumour/interesting fact pertaining to. I keep being alerted to more posts and as usual virtually nothing relates to any of the above. Can't people save fish puns/personal tiffs/random player stuff and put it on the wordle thread please. (I have never looked at the wordle thread). It would be lovely if this approach could be adopted on most player threads.

TBF Welbeck did have a serious/long term recurring hammy issue apparently that led to his prior injury record, but we got him fixed by some specialist in the US didn’t we ?

I want to help but I am not clear on if puns based on his name are explicitly banned or if it is only fish based ones? Also what is your opinion on inventing songs for a new player before they have singed let alone kicked a ball in our name?

Yes ! we did. but , even though he plays every week and has done for years - i don' think he'll ever shake off accusations that he's injury prone - on here at least. They still pop up from time to time - with posters absolutely convinced he's absent or injured.
