Materialistic things you miss from your home country

This thread is really only for those that have moved to a different country to post the physical things they miss the most. Friends/family are a given so this is just a materialistic thread.

Just watched this video and realised how much I miss this place

Being able to have an in-depth conversation with someone in a shop in English

I've been in Spain now for eleven years.
I haven't been back to the UK once.
I have worked since I got here,I have learned the language,I love the lifestyle.
I really don't miss anything really.

None of these would bring me back but there is a long list of things I miss.

Beer, Estrella is also crap.

There are lots of little things that I miss and get annoyed about here. However, in general I'm very happy here. If I want to come back for a few days it doesn't hurt my bank account.

Britsh country pubs (got some great bars here, but the Dutch haven't really grasped the country pub concept).

That's about it.

Would have added (some) British beer to that, but my local offy stocks Thornbridge and The Kernel, and my local brewpub in town stocks Thornbridge. So I'm happy...

Having spent the majority of my adult life living in France I must say I miss quite a few things, mainly the Winter resorts and gorgeous hot summers.

beer gardens with something for the kids to play on. decent cheese. but not one thing more.

Mainly food. Bacon, full English, British Indian restaurants. The UK is quite an exciting place for food at present.
