A friend of mine, who is a football shirts dealer, has obtained 3 matchworn Brighton shirts from the game against Arsenal last season. These are player swap shirts from the end of the game, I guess the Arsenal players didn’t fancy keeping them. The shirts are Barnes, Bridge & Hammond.
He’s asked if I can spread the word about them, so if you are interested in buying them please contact James or Simon at footballmatchshirts@hotmail.co.uk .
This is their website in case you’re interested http://www.footballmatchshirts.co.uk/
I’ve cleared this with Bozza, and please be assured, these are 100% genuine. Oh, and also please be assured, I’m just doing a favour for a friend, he might buy me a drink when I see him, then again, he might not.
If it interests you further, my friend is Simon Shakeshaft, the main guy behind the footballmatchshirts site, as well http://www.thenationalfootballshirtcollection.com/. Simon is a testicular cancer survivor, and he is involved with the charity Checkemlads; http://www.checkemlads.com/ so there you go chaps, if you haven’t already today, here’s a bona fide chance to legitimately fiddle with your balls.
And finally, if you’re really interested, Simon was Hereford Uniteds physio on that fateful day for The Bulls in 1997, he still regards that as his worst day in football.
There you go, a thread packed full of interest for most of you, don’t say I never bring you anything worthwhile!
