For *some reason* this Swedish third division match a few weeks ago is under the spotlight as another potential case of alleged match fixing in Scandinavian football. The action is narrated here by a former American professional goalkeeper who played for top tier Finnish team, who were fined for spot fixing (prior to his arrival). The match is under investigation by the Swedish FA currently and both sides deny any wrongdoing.

Here is an article with more information;

In 2021 four players were banned for varying periods after being caught match fixing, so this seems to be an ongoing problem.

One of the disadvantages of being a culturally retarded feudal dictature is that when the feodalist dictator wants to control drug trade in Europe, all sorts of crime increases and there's very little anyone can do about it.

In the Swedish third tier, there are 32 clubs split into two series.

In about half of the clubs its an open secret that organised criminals are running them to do money laundry and match fixing. Even drug smuggling is not uncommon. Going to Norway pretending to play a friendly is a good disguise when you're in reality smuggling kilos of cocaine.

I love the 51% rule but obviously it makes smaller clubs very vulnerable to get infiltrated. All you need to do to become the owner is to become a member.

Match fixing is quite common in most parts of Europe but I doubt its as common as it is here. There's plenty of fixed games... every week.
