I guess that implies they might charge for P&R.
It sounds like free Park and Ride is going to be dumped in the near future if the last question is anything to go by. Not the most functional service that is on offer but useful for many.
I can't see a way that getting 30,000 people to and from the ground works without the free travel zone in total though.

I think everyone should click 10 on these answers. Especially if they are gonna push the green premier league week every season, kind of makes a mockery of the whole thing. The free travel subsidy is something that should be celebrated, not stripped.

I have just completed the survey. I’d actually prefer cheaper ticket prices and no free travel.

The direction of travel, so to speak, is not encouraging. I appreciate the costs must be rising but so is the Premier League income.
I wonder how much season ticket prices would reduce if any of the options were implemented. My guess would be the substantial sum of £0.00.
From memory I'm sure we paid a nominal amount (£30?) in the 1st season at Falmer for travel vouchers and then dumped them as Southern basically didn't bother checking anyone so loads got it for free. Not sure that was the official explanation!

Obviously got to the point where it’s a huge hike in season ticket prices to cover the uplift in costs for free travel or introduce a charge for it and reduce season tickets as travel element won’t be included.
Where is the option for - I will go and watch Worthing?

I'm guessing that they can't start charging separately for the travel for next season as the renewal for 23/24 already mentions 'Inclusive travel to all men's first-team home league matches on rail and bus from across Sussex within our matchday travel zone'

If the free travel subsidy was dropped we would just get a base service for matchdays at the Amex at Falmer. The service wouldn't be able to cope in all honesty, with 4, 4 carriage trains an hour through there, very poor IMO if the club decide to drop the travel subsidy.
They will probably just charge for it and continue to run it. Makes sense from a club perspective if it's becoming more expensive to run so that not everyone's season ticket goes up to cover the cost of P&R if only a small percentage use it. Not saying its right or wrong and probably doesn’t sit well with sustainability but I assume that's what might happen (from the season after next).
I think a lot of people put up with the crap service and rammed trains and park and rides because it is free. If you are paying for it and it’s still crap or worse expect a lot of anger!

It does appear that they are looking to drop the subsidised travel and make people pay for whatever service they choose.
I pretty much use every mode of transport throughout the season, depending on who i am going with, being a midweek game, if i am boozing or have to leave sharpish etc.
But to regularly get from Beeding to the Amex, the train + bus cost about £11 return. This would push me towards Seagulls travel at £20 return which would be quicker and more direct, unless i wanted to get there earlier or hang around after for a few.
The other option is park and ride, which looks like it would costs anywhere between £4 and £10.
There wasnt an option to say you would be willing to pay for park and ride, but only if the service improved. So i was left to have no option but to say no i wouldn't be willing to pay.
If the subsidised travel is costing them too much, maybe they should increase ticket prices to cover it as the whole point of the stadium being out of town was that it had sustainable travel, which is why the cost to get there should be in the ticket cost.
I appreciate that some people do not use any of the travel options, such as cyclists/walkers and people who pay to park etc. But i would think 60-70% use the current inclusive travel options.
But if you make people pay, you are more likely to increase traffic at the AMEX and surrounding areas.
They stopped us parking in Moulsecoomb and Coldean after a few seasons, because the locals complained about those 19/26 days of the year where people who pay road tax parked on the public roads they pay tax for.

I raised the viability of moving my travel subsidy to their official travel partner ST in view I’m paying for something I don’t use.
