We are confusing the OP's question with other similar questions which was:

Nothing to do with the scores except my example was if every ball was potted individually and legally to bring the frame to a conclusion (not including the final black which isn't mandatory and depends on the scores).
No-one has got the correct answer yet. It's a simple arithmetic question.
Forget fouls, concessions, refereeing decisions. Just pots by the winner.
No need to over complicate it.

Here's a question for sporting masterminds :

What is the minimum number of balls you need to pot to win a snooker frame.

No-one has got the correct answer yet. It's a simple arithmetic question.
Forget fouls, concessions, refereeing decisions. Just pots by the winner.
No need to over complicate it.
So ignoring the rules of the game, and the possible answers we can give that are factually correct and give a different answer to what you are after, i'll go for it being 6 balls

You = Red, Black, Red, Black, Pink and Black = 29
Opponent = 13 reds (no colours) and then potting Yellow, green, brown and blue = 27

got it now, the answer you are after is 4. Opponent pots 15 reds, no colours, and then yellow and green
You then pot Brown, Blue, Pink and black

The official rules, section 3, part 14 regarding the awarding of a frame when someone fails to hit a ball 'on' on their 3rd attempt and after being warned by the ref after their second can apply, and mean that a frame can be won by someone who hasn't potted a ball and so it would have been interesting to see what they would do if that question was used in Mastermind and the answer the contestant gave was none

Correct, correct, correct and the last one was Wolfster. Good game, well played!
2nd leg 😂

What did Alan liken to a dirty protest at the Travel Tavern?

What did Alan state the majority of BBC staff were on as he left his meeting with Tony Hayers?

Where did the racist kitchen salesman come from?

Where did the defective Chocolate Oranges come from?

Alluded to in post 37 but as mentioned I didn't have time to do the full analysis.

Follow-up question (I think this was on QoS about 25 years ago):

What is the lowest score you cannot achieve with a single dart?

Not knowing that much about darts, I’ll nevertheless plump for 23.

I was. But it was very embarrassing. I completely froze on my specialist subject. I chose something really stupid (the complete works of Shakespeare, which is such a vast field) but my first three choices were all rejected because they'd been done before or because they were related to my job and I chose wildly. TBF to Mastermind, they did ring me and ask me if I wanted to change my mind as it was such a big topic but I'd already spent a couple of weeks reading and re-reading every play, so I said no.

But once I was in the black chair my mind went blank and questions I could have answered at home were mysteries to me. I scored a pitiful 6 on that road. For the general knowledge, I went into the zone and scored a respectable total of 22 at the end, only four behind the winner. So, it was a respectable showing in the end.

El Presidente was in the audience, witnessing my humiliation, fortunately not too many people seem to have seen it
I had pretty much the same experience when I was on, but chose Ian Rankins Inspector Rebus books, scored 5 and then finished on 21 points (1 away from winning). Lesson learned, don’t choose a series of books as your specialist subject.

Chocolate mousse on the bedding (even the vallance!)

The BBC gravy train (wish I was!)

Acton

Rawlinson’s

When Max reveals his granddad's Broomhandle Mauser gun, he also says that his granddad shot a German with that gun. Where did this shooting occur?

At the beginning of season 2, Brian seeks to reunite his staff and rebuild the Phoenix Club. He finds Jerry doing singing advertisements for what product at ASDA?

What mini-bus company were Max and Paddy working for in series 2?

At his friend's party, Max finds out he has a son. What is the name of his son?
