I watched the Sky coverage last night and it made me realise what a fantastic day it must have been for everyone who went to Cardiff. I am not ashamed to admit that I had a few tears in my eyes at the final whistle and again when the presentation was made.

It made me realise that we are all part of an amazing phenomenon. Supporting Brighton and Hove Albion gives us all something that many supporters have never experienced. To say that we have been on a Rollercoaster for the last few years does not begin to do it justice. We have had more excitement in the last 8 years to last a lifetime and I am sure there is more to come next season and beyond.

To all those who were at Cardiff, I salute you for the passion and commitment you all showed. I did my bit abroad but to all those people who held up banners and to the players and staff who didn't waste a single opportunity to promote the cause of Falmer you are legends, all of you.

We might not LIKE what we see on the pitch from time to time but we LOVE the club and always will.

Anyway, I'm filling up again

BTW, Gordon Strachan - absolute quality

I like the way Leon's in the background, holding his head as if to say "I think you'd better quiet down before some Brizzle fan batters you".

Looks as though you had a reasonable substitute venue on the day and I'm glad you exercised restraint so as not to upset any Brizzle fans:lolol:

It looked like a good substitute Hiney.

I agree with you about Gordon Strachan. Anybody who has not seen the copy of the match either dvd or video then borrow it and listen to what he said about us.

Now, when it gets to August this year and you want to book your holiday the only months available to you are June & July :jester:

Looks like you had a good time Hiney.
I did mention to my mates and cousin that you were in Majorca and we all felt a bit sorry for you.
But if its any consolation, my cousin (who you met a QPR) was in Florida and had to warch it in some mock English pub with no atmosphere.

Cheers mate - next year we need to find a pub near QPR's ground if we get there that early again. It's not the most inspiring place to wait and the burgers tasted like shit!

The atmosphere in the Majorcan bar turned decidedly cool when the final whistle went and I set off on my one-man lap of honour with a pint of Becks slopping onto the floor

You should have thought of the play offs when you booked. I didn't, but I went on holiday litterally 5 hrs after getting back from Cardiff

Just for you hiney, it's THE moment of the game...

Hope it brings back memories.

I know, I know

When we booked - August 2003, all we thought about was half term and getting away. It was only in February that I realised what a catastrophe we could be facing.

Whilst I was almost kissing Braders  at Withdean as Swindon missed that penalty, I realised what a complete nightmare was about to unfold. Days like that don't come around too often but hey - at least I saw it live on the TV and Turkey's text messages during the day helped.
