...against Chelsea. Why didn't we keep him? He looks absolute class. You could put a Chelsea shirt on him and he'd fit in their side no probs.

Didn't do anything special for us, played particularly well against QPR away if i remember correctly, had good corner but as i say nothing special. Playing well atm though no doubt about it!

He's just been replaced, he's knackered! Put some fantastic crosses in. Colchester MOM!

I can't remember how many times I posted on here last summer that he was the player we should have been re-signing.

He is exactly the type of creative midfielder we have been so desperately lacking this season - way too good for Div1.

But he may well get to play Championship football with Colchester next year while we enviously look up from Div 1 :nono:

Yeates is ok, no better than fruity or Carole though.

Can be great but goes missing in a lot of games, typical winger really.

I ahve to agree with that and I know I'm not the only person who thinks we should have signed Big Chris either.

I think you will find that we did not keep him because Tottenham did not want to sell him at the time. Remember he came on against us in the FA Cup last year and did feature a few times.

As for this summer, I believe that both Carole and Frutos are better options for creative midfielders and we could not play all three in a four man midfield as it would expose the defence too much.

I agree.

Carole and Fruity are arguably the best wingers that have ever worn the Albion shirt. The thing that makes them look bad is,they make beautiful crosses but no-one gets on the end of them.Thats why we haven't scored many this season, and having Yates at the club would not make a difference.

That might be pushing it. Carole can cross? Haven't seen much of it this season. He is very good at opening up defences but that is with his skill. Yates was ok when he was here, nothing special. Kind of player who looks amazing one week, anonymous for the next three.

FFS he wasn't that good a player. Stop f***ing whinging about players we haven't signed. As someone else said Spurs didn't even want to sell him.

Sorry for the rant but i'm in a bad mood
