Might be in tomorrows squad.
that's what I was hoping for, might be his time to shine with Pedro out for a while

Connolly had his break-out game against Spurs. We have Welbeck and Ferguson for the one out-and-out striker spot but would like to see MO'M on the bench as people say. Chuck him on near the end if chasing a goal.

Has he played any first team minutes yet and I've missed it? He's been on the bench a lot but doesn't seem to get the same few minutes that BBB and Peupion have.

Don't think so - unless maybe a lightning quick cameo in one of the cup matches?

Why didnt he play against Utd yesterday

There's also an interview on the Albion website with him where he talks about how excited he was at getting the chance to be part of the first team squad. He then goes on to say he very excited to be back with the Under 21s getting ready for Man United, but he wasn't even on the bench. A bit strange.

Seems a bit like he’s being pulled between the two squads lately. Can’t play for the u21s sometimes because he’s needed for the first team bench, but doesn’t get any minutes. Guess it’s inevitable for a period when just on the cusp of the first team.

Also Ferguson out of form and Pedro not 100% fit leaves us Welbeck as the only recognised striker ....

Shouldn'tbe an issue, surely? At his age it shouldn't be a problem to play two games in three or four days - not time after time, obviously, but there's no need to keep him out of an U21 match just because there's a first team match that he might be needed for three days later!

More likely he's got a bit of a knock?

Both squads are having a giggle with him, sending him between the two.

First team: Nip down to the U21’s and get us some ‘air shots.’
U21’s : Just shoot back up to the first team and pick us up some ‘false number 9’s.’

Where does this myth about a youngster being able to play 2 games in 3 or 4 days without any affect come from? Yes, I know we used to play 4 matches in a weekend without it doing us any harm, etc, etc …. But did we play at that level, the intensity or have a training and fitness program designed for us? Of course not. He does and we should trust those making the choices.
